I believe the 2.7L has the plastic drain plug, which is not compatible with ANY Fumoto product. There are other options out there but I remember them being about triple the price.

The conflict issue I had was with the raised lid.

It's quite solid. I had a handful of Molle bags strapped to it but even those stayed pretty quiet. If youre careful with installaton it stays put. For the most part it doesn't even rest on the interior plastic so there isn't much to make noise.
