You can't get more un-American than buying asian manufactured parts for which there are equivalent parts manufactured by American workers. Nothing quite like looking at vehicles with American flags and foreign parts.
I'll second your recommendation of Kyle and Off-Road Consulting. I took winching 101 & 102 with him and learned a lot about safety and multi-winch recoveries. Class ended with flipping an old vehicle and winching it upright.
Some of us build our Broncos into something significantly better than a stock Raptor. With 38s and 5.38 gearing my Bronco will out accelerate a Raptor, and I get to drive a manual transmission not a RAV4 like Raptor (although the Raptor can carry more paper towels home from the grocery store...
Update: Hooking up the Port Injection will be easy however without someone cracking the ECU there will be no additional performance benefits. Precision Racing gave me Chris at Panda as a reference for someone to do the tuning and he was the bearer of bad news concerning PI on the 2.3 at this time.
No. Regearing is definitely not a diy swap. Regearing cost is typically about $2000. I didn't regear and chose to replace my axles with stronger ones because I was going to a 5.38" gear ratio.
Ultimate Dana 44 Advantec FDU $3419
Spicer Extreme 32 spline front drive shaft $2475
Spicer 1350...
Yes, they are 17" and have a 4.75" backspacing.

I am considering adding a port injection kit. Has anyone else done this?
These are the products that I am considering
Precision said they have not installed any on a Bronco yet but would do whatever it takes if I go first...
I am running true 38" tires with a 5.38 gear ratio on 2.3 m. Acceleration off the line is incredible, 5th and 6th gears are now great gears.
Upgrade your brakes before your tire size.
Without a doubt a Badlands. You can’t get a manual Wildtrak. When you’ve driven a Bronco with electronic valving such as the Icon Stage 8 (and Braptor) you will feel the Wildtrak suspension to be just so so.
The Wildtrak has the upgraded steering rack which can be added to a Badlands and if...
Highly recommend regearing to 5.38 or doing the spicer 44/60. I started with 4.7 and 35” and upgraded to 38”. This really slowed it down and killed the acceleration from stock. New 5.38 axles completely changed the ride - my 2.3 will leave stock Raptors on the starting line- it is that...
I recently upgraded to a Dana 60 with 5.38 ratio running 38s and love it vs. the 4.7.
Who else is currently running with a 5.38 ratio? Did you regear, upgrade differentials, or install portals (what brand), and what size tires are you running?
Reverse gear is not as strong as the forward gears. It is the reason you never pull a car out by driving the recovery vehicle in reverse.
You mentioned back and forth- do you happen to remember if the incidents happened when you were going forward or in reverse?
