I'm curious if there's any measurable suspension height diff between base and other models (excluding sas equipped or badlands). Sorry if I'm too late or someone else already done beat me to the question.
How has it taken me this long to see velocity blue outside of Ford's B&P. This looks great!
More and more I'm thinking most of the features I was thinking of adding won't make me much more happy. A nice base with 2.3 and man with a color I might actually like... could be all I need
Dang, I'd love to drop in somewhere and take a look. How do y'all figure out what dealer is showing and when? My local guy said he'd call me when they got a preview model, but who knows when that's gonna be...
Not sure if it's all the little whirly bits moving around inside, but to me the shifting experience always feels a bit different once the engine's on and I'm rolling around. I'd much rather have an early order, but as things stand I'm hoping to see reports of shifting in action from fellow...
This is my budding old man skepticism kicking in.... nobody is going to care more about doing a proper change than you are. Due to the reasonable prices that many places offer for changes, there is probably an incentive to get things done quick. Couple that with generally less experienced folk...
I am quite pleased with this change. Hopefully the base MSRP doesn't change either ;)
Kinda cool that Ford even thought about the wash-out interior folks and isn't going to force this update on them. Personally, I'll be electing for the free upgrade on my BD build, though.
I'm curious to see...
I thought this thing was interesting (3:17 in the vid). Kinda looks like it's piped in to something. Heat exchanger for the transmission, maybe? orr... maybe this is a pan and I'm just an idiot. Either way, I'm curious...
EDIT: That looks a heck of a lot like a 10R80 pan. Didn't realize it had...
From what I understand, that's basically it - plus the T-case is more forgiving of driving on and off pavement. You don't have the same drivetrain bind concerns with 4A as you would with 4H. The advanced transfer case uses clutches when in A mode to allow some slip between front and rear axles...
I think it looks cool, and I'm looking forward to having a rig where I can take the top off. That's it for me. That's 100% of my reason for switching from my '18 Outback Touring. I could get another topless rig instead, but I like the boxy look, and in my eyes these things are more attractive...
@DoubleADuster - my $0.02, from someone who has had too much free time to idly amass forum and misc. article rote and trivia...
I'm not at all worried about whether the sport maps to big bronco performance. I think the sport only has a wet clutch transfer case, which means it's constantly going...
The pic of the bronco at the gas station above is ultimately what decided my build. Looks pretty snazzy. Though, I kept the steelies. I'm on the fence regarding whether I want to switch from A51 to orange... not sure if I want blue stitching and accents in contrast to that beautiful, beautiful...
I wasn't thinking anything too crazy, maybe just rip apart some cheap remote, solder wires to either side of the membrane button connection, wire it to the AUX switch, and then toggle on and off the aux switch anytime I want a button press. Then duct tape the beautiful assembly somewhere near...
