Differential drop done, however, I cannot recommend the Dobinsons kit. Their kit doesn't include necessary hardware, which is bazaar to me. The OEM diff bracket has 2 welded on nuts... the Dobinsons does not. Ok cool, naturally one would think the Dobinson kit should include 2 new nuts and bolts...

This all started as a personal mission, after paying $36 for 2 washers, to locate the exact washer, in material and exact size as OEM, at cheapest price. I did that. Im still thinking how in the hell is it possible that ford can charge $18 for a 30 cent part. I was bitter.

I haven't started on it. I'll be doing both tc and diff plus installing a diff drop bracket. I'm sticking with what Ford recommends: Motorcraft MERCON LV Automatic Transmission Fluid / XT-10-QLVC (WSSM2C938-A). Non sas BD so no advanced AWD.

Replace washer for both drain and fill for TC. The differential only get thread sealant, no washer.

Curious, which engine?

Both. Softtop for warmer months. Hardtop for cold months and long distance roadtrips. The hardtop is much quieter on my Black Diamond, which has the fully insulated interior panels. Drove across country and couldn't imagine doing it with the softtop noise over hours of driving.

I've been on the fence with these. That's a very noticeable difference in darkness, granted your windows are tinted as well. My 18% tint would make these impossible to use, especially at night. Not sure why they don't offer a non-tinted version?
