Definitely feeling like it was worth the hustle to travel a few states away and get the exact trim/color ā23 4Runner we wanted. š Judging by the competitive market we dealt with for the 5th gen, a lot of people are wary of gen 6 faltering on the promise of Toyota's reliability.
But waitā¦hill climbs aside, doesnāt the longer wheelbase (shallower breakover) of the 4 door limit one of the most important ātasksā for an off road vehicle?
Like I said above, I understand the practical appeal of the 4 door. But I gotta say it⦠softness/convenience are definite factors...
Which number is biggerā¦
A) Percentage of 4-door owners that wouldāve bought a 2-door if it fit their use case?
OR
B) Percentage of 2-door owners that would have bought a 4-door if it fit their use?
Point beingā¦Iāve literally NEVER seen anyone on this forum say āman I got this 2-door but I...
I was also disappointed to see the TFL results for the AT4W. When they were released, I was stoked to see a legit AT tread offered in the 255/85 size. Not sure these snow stopping distances are any better than the Falken MTs.
I have the base steelies with 33ā Falken MTs. I think the weight of that wheel/tire combo is similar to the stock Sasquatch setup, around 80 lbs. No issues with flex or strange noises without a tailgate reinforcement. Iāve driven off road at ORV parks, at decent speeds on dunes, down washboard...
Just reporting the news. Lots of CG in the parking deck at Trader Joeās⦠š
I do like CG and I agree the bronco looks good in any color. CG is an interesting take on gray. But, as someone planning to keep my bronco long-term, I was concerned it would look dated in 8-10 years when the muted...
I already see more than that driving around my neighborhood. Granted, 75% of them are 4-door Big Bends in Cactus Gray (The official āKarenā option trim/color). But I think those still count, right?
Wow. I canāt believe I missed that! Thanks. This tracks with what I found about the SX series winches when doing my research. They hang with the rest of the pack on most metrics but line speed is a little slower. When I was researching, I was also looking pretty closely at IP waterproof ratings...
Was hoping to see SuperWinch included here. But I realize itās not one of the commonly considered options. Iāve used it for a few non-recovery tasks (like pulling on root balls/stumps). No recoveries necessary since installing 10ish months ago. That must be the mark of a truly great winch -...
Went back to Holly Oaks for the second weekend in a row. Pushed the Bronco a little harder today.
Ended up on some rocky climbs that I didnāt think Iād be able to ascend. In the Badger Head/Rumbles area of the park for those who might be familiar.
Climbed Mt. Magna again, this time without a...
I was being facetious about the price freeze. Sorry, itās hard to make that clear with text and I honestly should have thought about that.
Re: Price gouging, I donāt know why it would make a difference whether itās a Bronco or any other vehicle. Sucks, regardless of the product.
So much base bashing š there. They look cool and perform well, regardless of color if you ask me.
I think Marsh Grey looks great on a base. Little bit homely but that doesnāt hurt on a simple trim with steelies. The kind of color that looks better with age, dings, crumples.
