AND my pic is not in the running! Surely someone out there has 20" wheels or a snorkel or limb risers or crash bar end caps or LCA skid plates or something just as useless. Hell, you could just take a pic of the trail sights your Bronco came with from the factory, and win the whole enchilada.
There's no tag-backs so I'm of course disqualifying myself for consideration. But I have the perfect answer to this question so I'm sharing a pic anyhow. My most impractical mod is of course my Halo Doors:
About as practical as tits on a boar LOL.
OK let's wrap this one up!
Not sure if this one captures the spirit of the assignment but it made me laugh, and feel a bit of pity for poor ol @dpAtlanta :D So take it away Dave, you're up next!
Thanks Zeaks! Here's the next challenge, this should be one just about everybody can participate in. I'd like to see a pic of your Bronco in the best, closest place to your house to actually get "off-road". It's OK if it's a construction site or the open field behind the mall, as long as it's...
I have your exact setup. Base Bronco that came with halogen taillights but swapped to Oracle LED flush taillights. I used the Curt tow harness for non-LED taillights and everything worked perfectly. You bought the wrong harness.
I'd bet someone close to you has a take-off after installing an aftermarket tire carrier or doing a spare tire delete. Perhaps someone will chime in. I'm on the opposite coast from you but I have one in my pile of take-offs that you can have for the price of shipping plus $20 to buy me a couple...
I first knew of Trujillo with ST. He wasn't original to them either, and his joining them definitely did coincide with Suicidal Tendencies going in a more funky direction. For a band who has constantly evolved like ST I think that was a great thing. As for Mustaine, I'm glad he was kicked out of...
Yeah it would have! Sailing the Seas of Cheese meets For Whom the Bell Tolls! LOL. I love Les Claypool, I think he's probably the most talented bass player to ever pick up the instrument. That said, I'm not sure his style would have meshed with Metallica's that well. Primus is in a world of...
Flemming Rasmussen > Bob Rock
I can't fully blame Bob Rock though. He might be partially responsible for the softer edges of the sound, but he didn't write the songs and compose the arrangements. I blame Lars. And Newkid :)
The hard part is finding a country act that she likes that I don't absolutely loathe. Old school country doesn't really count because I'm not sacrificing anything, as I love those too. For example I didn't get any points for taking her to Willie Nelson, since we both love him. I guess I'm lucky...
I'd been over that way a couple times when I was a kid growing up in Lodi over in the central valley. Yeah Petaluma's a bit more built up now, as is every other place in California. But I can still appreciate that it's the first actual blue collar type place you come to, with mostly normal...
I think the difference is that for those of us who "discovered" and became fans of Metallica back when they had zero radio air play, had cut zero singles and had never shot a music video for any of their songs, I think we're more invested in what Metallica was at that time. Pioneers of heavy...
We've been to quite a few Suicidal shows together. They're one of my favorite bands so the first concert I ever took Steffie to was Suicidal Tendencies on the Warped Tour back in '98 or so. Them playing with Metallica was quite a bonus for us.
Yes most of the Moose and Elks lodge RV parking...
Yeah I'm mostly a "first four albums" Metallica fan so I was glad they did two nights with no repeats, getting a lot of the old stuff in. And the visual show was simply amazing. I drag Steffie to a lot of concerts, mostly old school metal and punk. She indulges me and I occasionally pay her back...
We did pass through Coulterville on our way back to Merced but we didn't take the dirt road. Negative on the ice cream but we did pass through both Guerneville and Rio Nido. I think our favorite spot on that little side adventure was Monte Rio.
