I'm one of the many (10s of thousands) who ordered the 2021 Bronco with the modular painted hard top. It was delayed, Ford promised us it would be available later, and gave us points for converting our order to a soft top. They never said it would be available for current owners, two years...
Ford employs 186,000 people. I find it hard to believe they can keep a secret like are they making modular hard tops. Maybe the question, "will they really offer retrofit modular hard tops to current owners?" will stay unknown for a while. But this isn't the Manhattan Project, people should...
I noticed the heritage edition has a white hard top.....The one I ordered in 2020 but changed to the softtop because Ford said it was delayed. I better be able to get one.
The Ford rep on this forum contacted me and started a claim ticket. She was very nice and involved. But I didn't have time to take my Bronco in after it had just happened once. Then last weekend, it happened again. So I guess I'll let them investigate mine too. I can get it to turn off the...
I did the Alpine Loop June 6th, just 2-3 days after the passes were opened. It was great and we didn't have any trouble until the end, when I took a wrong turn down Mineral Creek. That was rough, with standard Big Bend tires, but we made it out before dark. If you do it, make sure you totally...
Yep, that's why I don't mess with GOAT. I can condense all the pages in the manual. The only rules with a manual is stop and push in the clutch when going in/out of 4L. Unlock the rear diff and go to 2H on pavement. The software won't let you do anything wrong, it tells you on the screen what...
Maybe I don't know what I'm missing, but I've had my manual Bronco for 6 months, 6,000 miles, and don't use the GOAT modes when 4wheeling. I just push the 4H or 4L button. Occasionally when going up a steep, rocky hill I push the rear differential lock button. That's it.
I do use the dial...
UPDATE 6 months later. I've driven on some pretty aggressive 4WD trails, including some advanced rock and snow on the Alpine trail in Colorado a month ago. The Duelers have not caused a problem with their grip or durability. They work fine, last a long time.... But I could use an extra inch...
There hasn't been a peep about it anywhere since about 2 years ago. Like Ford assumes the 10,000 that downgraded to the soft top will be happy keeping it forever. But no soft top lasts on a convertible more than about 5 years around here. I want the painted, white, hard top to be my long-term...
Strange....20 posts in this thread, and about 10 in one other....basically, has everyone forgotten the Modular Painted hard top? I haven't. Originally ordered one, I deprecated to the soft top to get my bronco. But still want one. Ford.
I've had my 4 door Big Bend with the Manual for 6 months, stock Durawhatever tires. I have never gotten below 22 MPG. Last week I drove over 1,400 miles through 4-corners, up to Silverton and Ouray CO. I did some serious 4WDing at 8,000-12,800 ft elevation. 50% of the time in Sport, the rest...
I've been driving my 4 door 2021 Bronco for 6 months now, because I changed my Modular Painted for a soft top. Just got back from the Alpine Loop, silverton, colorado camping. This is the most capable vehicle I've had in the 32 years I've lived out west. Been camping in Arizona, New Mexico...
I've had my 4door Bronco for months now and love almost everything about it except the instrument cluster. The speedometer off to the left side, with it's needle always pointing somewhere at the extreme left of the screen, is useless. Never seen, your wheel and hands are in the way.
The...
I now have 5,000 miles on my 4door 2.3 manual. Getting 23.5 consistently. 1/3 highway, the rest city and off road. I do not think about how I'm driving or try to drive "gentle." I'm very glad I got this engine/transmission.
2 months later I just logged in to check on Modular Painted Hard tops. Still no word. Very strange, but they did say they would be in 2023. I guess I'll go away and come back in 8 months....
I'm still averaging 22.5 since I've had my Big Bend 4door, 2.3 with a manual. I've had it 4-5 months. City, highway, offroad mixed use, about even. Got 23 MPG on one trip.
