I blamed the 2nd use of a lock nut on my deal and then looked at some pics taken during my coilovers install and the nut in question had clearly not been torqued. I have to assume I left it hand tight. All those lock nuts seem to work really well multiple times, even to the point of possible...
Removed the cover AND the shutters when I replaced the bumper. Left the plug hanging. No codes.
If you live in a cold climate, donāt remove the shutter. Iām in South Texas.
Well thatās a shame. Over 2 years on mine with no issues yet.
That being said. We have service trucks with King shocks and King wonāt replace them for warranty, we have to send them in to be rebuilt and returned which takes a week or more and is horrible customer service for shocks that are...
We wonāt talk about my dumbass leaving the upper left ball joint nut hand tight and heading to the Alpine loop in Colorado. My Broncos sat on Imogene pass for two days before I had the parts to fix it.
Supposedly all those lock nuts on the front end are one and done so youāre supposed to...
Donāt tighten them too tight, theyāre not very big. Iād say the OPās example were never torqued at all. They were probably put on hand tight and skipped the torque somehow. There have been multiple instances of various nuts and bolts not being tightened at the factory and parts found in the...
They missed the boat with the H3. It easily could have been the Bronco competition with added roll protection and removable roof and doors.
Competition is good. Dad had a ā71 Blazer. Rockers rusted out pretty quick and it was always breaking shock mounts just running his rural mail route...
Oh damn. I did it in the dark with my phone light propped and didnāt see the other clip on top just the two black ones that I broke one of. Did get it off and like you looked like it didnāt match the WB connection. And it threw codes so took it back off.
Looks great! I remember when you started that build. I finally upgraded from 35ās to 37ās recently. (non-sas BD) Wish I had skipped straight to the 37ās honestly.
8 or 8.5 at +12 offset would have been my choice too, but alas the wheels I ended up with are 9ā and apparently more common with a +12 offset. Like you said, everything is a compromise.
+12 really worked well for me. I did cut the corner off the front crashbar mounts and plan to completely remove them, but went trail riding and tire is barely rubbing at the front at full lock. (See dirt mark at plug weld in first pic).
I had already cut an inch or so off the rock rails and...
