After receiving my Bronco, I no longer feel this way. The 33s look perfect to me. I might notch them up a bit after they wear out (295s), but maybe not. Officially glad I resisted the urge to SAS my Badlands.
I had to grind a chamfer on the underside of all three the tabs to get them to slide in to the slots. I consider it a challenge to all human race to get them to fit otherwise.
I also think I’ll have to grind the slots where the nuts from the lanyards are supposed to fit. They hit on both sides...
I’d put that on a dark colored Bronco in a heartbeat. Fits in perfectly on your photo. For cactus gray I’d almost need something matching for it to not stick out horribly.
Yes, I’ve been reading ”it’s worth it” in this thread for a few months. I can FINALLY agree. All the second guessing about my spec, after one day all I can say is, nailed it. Not just my order, I knew from the beginning this would be a bumpy ride. Promised myself I wouldn’t bail NO MATTER WHAT...
1. Yup. First time wife got out on our trip she asked why her butt was wet. ”it’s the vinyl babe” Going to look on to a cooling ass-pad.
2. Was hoping it would be better. Still ok as I’m definitely a drifter on long drives, but it doesn’t soft correct like a lane centering system. Bummer...
Received. Going to camp at Cape Lookout, NC as soon as the heat breaks. Just me and the boy and our deep sleep mats, and the Bronco of course.
Now just waiting for mosquito screens that slide in where my soft top panels slide out.
Awesome. Only a 2 hour drive so great for day trips. Plan to camp there in October when they start allowing fire pits. Is it crowded? I’d hate to drive all the way there and not get in, especially when we go camping. Next year I’ll get the annual pass.
I think this is the week. My Bronco is 2 hours away in Winston Salem. So close I decided to order a bunch of gear I’ve been sitting on:
Cargo carrier
bike rack
Deepsleep mats for camping
tent and king koil air mattress
Smittybilt air compressor
my plan is to overland at the beach (Carolina...
Same. The reason I first started looking in to a Jeep (and landing on a Bronco) was to take it to the beach. There are multiple camp on the beach options in NC and then it’s an easy day trip to Fort Fisher. Driving out on the beach for the day >>>>>>>> dragging all our stuff a half mile.
Oh...
Similar to how I made my decision. There are three Jeep Rubicons in our lot. Two have 35s, one 33s. I prefer the 33s. It looks nicer and likely drives better in the city, where I drive 95% of the time. And then I read (and heard from experts) how great the 33s are off road. Couple that...
He could be wildly successful, but it’s not going to impact our Broncos. Change at a company the size of Ford and a plant as massive as MAP takes time, like turning an aircraft carrier. There are few quick fixes and likely the outgoing plant manager was a really smart person. Companies like...
Not sure how it impacts freight, but extreme heat can cause rail delays. Amtrak canceled my trip from Raleigh to Charlotte for this reason a few years ago.
Quick question for my fellow gettin-screwed 4/4ers. Rail information doesn’t populates in Order Tracker, got it, but when highlighted does that mean it will for sure be shipped by rail?
Ford chat said they couldn’t tell what the shipping method would be. Order tracker says rail. What is right?
