2.3 with the 7 speed, especially with the 4.7 gears is downright fun to drive. It moves out great, and has plenty of pull even in higher gears. Our 3k mile average is just over 21mpg, and that includes my wife learning how to drive stick and quite a bit of trail/offroad time. Been very happy...
Factoring inflation, my 1987 fully loaded 4runner cost less than the Bronco sitting next to it. And 35 years later, that hard top seals completely, has no wind noise, and most importantly no cracks. It's not unreasonable to expect when Ford had it figured out through 1996, and somehow FCA can...
Have to say, I bought my Badlands from Ron Tirapelli and overall, it was a mostly good experience. There is one individual named Ken(Cen?) who is a jackass that I dealt with briefly, but everyone else was great and we walked away paying the orriginal price protected MSRP and a great deal on our...
I know it's a little different in that we have a manual trans, but two phones fit in the dedicated slot in front of the cup holders, my handheld radios are perfect in front of the shifter or on the pads on the dash, and the midland GMRS slid right in the center console.
Only issue that I have that it's going to the dealer for is the passenger front seat. The MGV is pulling out from behind the handle. There's a shitty spot in the paint above the Rocker, but it's just a goober, nothing I'm worried about.
Oh, and I had to zip tie two hoses under the hood as...
I agree completely. It's amazing how far we've come in about 15 years that the cup holder is this big of an issue. My land cruiser came with 1 cup holder, and that was a $58k SUV in 93. My LS400 I drive every day has 4 total, and that was still considered a flagship luxury sedan in 2000. My...
Washed, added some Back to Black on all the trim, screen protector for the 12" screen, added some script badges, and relocated one of the Badlands badges to the tailgate.
Anyone else seeing issues with the passenger front MGV seats with poor fit and finish around the upper release handle? Have just under 2k miles and just noticed this, so I am not sure if it's new, or I just overlooked it. It's completely loose and open in this spot, and when I pull on the...
Thanks! Ive put almost 75k miles on it in the last 18 months, it's perfect for how much I drive for work. I refuse to drive something new every day and have it out of warranty and depreciated to nothing so quickly.
$7k doesnt get you a beater, it can get you a damn nice commuter. I DD a '98 Lexus LS400 I bought off the orriginal for $5k. Almost 30mpg in the lap of luxury.
I ran TRD Pro 6112's on our 4runner and loved them. Excited to see these now for the Bronco, they will likely be what I put on this bronco unless we see 8100 series releasing.
Not a fan at all. It looks like they are trying too hard, and that it's been coordinated by people who have no EB experiences outside of some photos. Hard pass.
Honestly that sounds more like your timing is off. You are clutching in while you are still on the throttle, and lifting too late. That's not an uncommon noise in any vehicle when your timing is off. I have noticed that there is not enough feedback from either pedal when wearing a heavy...
Unless it proves itself as reliable as my Toyota's and Lexus', probably until it's just our of warranty. Couldn't imagine the cost of replacing that 12" screen in 8 years. Time will tell, we kept our 2015 4runner for 8 years and only 126k miles, in 8 years our daughter will be driving and...
We have a 2 door Badlands with the 2.3 and manual. Absolutely love the power train combo. Especially with the 4.70 gears in the diffs with the 33's, it's very lively and fun to drive. You are shifting a lot, but it's a "slow car fast" kind of fun experience. It's my wife's first time driving...
The factory 35's are wider than what I plan to run. The 11.5" wide should fit perfect with no lift, and keep full suspension travel. Especially with the beadlock capable wheels.
Stock badlands with upgraded wheels here. We love it. While it's not as tall, it does have more wheel travel, and considering most rigs I build are always low slung, with lots of tire and lots of travel, this fit right in. Once these BFG's wear out, will replace them with a set of Nitto...
