The 7 speed is fantastic, I wasnt expecting it to be as good as it is.
MPG better than expected. First 750 miles I'm averaging 20.9, badlands non sasquatch 2.3 7 speed.
Rides much better than expected on the highway. Especially for how short the wheelbase is.
Locker engagement is instant...
Spent the 4th doing a few different things. Went fishing the evening of the 2nd and watched fireworks from the south end of Lake Michigan, then took our 5 day old Bronco on its first road trip to family to hang in the pool, and light off fireworks there. Monday hung around the neighborhood and...
Wife's new ride arrived home last week. Badlands 2.3/7-speed w/ high package. Have only seen one other race red locally, and it's a 4 door soft top. Have to admit the red is sharp.
I received two "built" emails. One with a delivery timeline, another with the pic.
And I was still having no faith, as mine still said awaiting shipping when the dealer called and said it was on the transport in their parking lot
Modules popped the 22nd, got a deliver estimate of mid July on Sunday 6/26, and it showed up at the dealer Monday. In our driveway home last night. Funny part was the assembly line pic came as we were signing paperwork.
I also gained a whole new appreciation for my companies help and customer...
Hey look, I got pushed again to 6/13.
Amazing that back at the end of march I found out when trying to update the transmission to an automatic that I had a vin and was scheduled for 5/9 with no notification from @Ford, when my order had been in 99 status. OK, fine, at least we are getting...
Tsb acknowledging it's an issue, with prioritization on getting parts to repair. If they have a general idea of how many should be impacted, longblock assemblies and all related turbo/intercooler parts should be set to the side for warranty work, and all impacted in the hot zone an extended...
Nope. 2 door, manual badlands here. Got an initial build date finally for 5/9, but it's moved back every week for 5 weeks strait now. Ford now says 6/6
I had my order in 99 status, and Ford pulled it to be built anyway. Pretty sure that means shit anymore, just like everything else.
And before anyone says it, no it wasn't just my dealer that said it. We got with Ford and verified the status and how it was pulled, but since a vin was assigned...
I logged into my Ford account only to see mine pushed back yet again. I think this is the 4th consecutive change, now it shows scheduled for 6/6. No update from Ford, even though last week I did get the email that it was being built week of 5/30. Edit: 5th consecutive push.
Yes, as a matter of fact I do think it's strange. I have logged over 1m miles on my Toyota/Lexus vehicles, and have yet to have a single major mechanical failure. I've owned every brand, lost two transmissions in 3/4 ton Dodge Ram's and that was enough for me, even with great experiences...
Pretty sure I didn't call anyone any names. I personally have two friends who have taken delivery of their 2.7 broncos. Both dropped valves and needed replaced. One is in this thread and documented on youtube, the other is not, and he's my example of the "its why I have a warranty, no big deal"...
With the amount of people who keep posting that this is no big deal, and that this is why you have a warranty, it does not surprise me in the least that there are only 30 reports. Die hard Ford fanatics seem to think this is perfectly normal. Hope it gains more steam.
