  1. Ford Accessories, do better Ford

I suppose this is just par for the course at this point, but do people actually get what they order from Fords Accessories website? I ordered three items with my points during a 20% off sale on June 8th. Called 4 weeks later when I had received zero updates. The guy I spoke with (he was...
  2. 2 Doors and 3 Pedals

2 door, 3 pedal, 4 cylinder, turbocharged convertible SUV's are my favorite. Though the 4runner is about to move to a 3rz that likely won't ever get turbocharged.
  3. 2024 Bronco Build and Price Now Live

Man, I didn't catch in the 24 updates thread that the high/lux package stereo is now 10 speakers with the sub. My 22 high package stereo is awful, glad to see they fixed it, but for the almost 10k increase over my high package 22 badlands, I think I'll just redo the stereo myself.
  4. Reusing pinion gear

Do not mismatch a used pinion with a new ring gear. You shouldn't mismatch them at all, but definitely not a set that's been broken in. Recipe for early failure.
  5. 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser World Premiere 📣 Hybrid Only For U.S. and Pricing Starts Mid-$50K

Definitely longer than that, going on 15 years now. And they have undeniably the best off road traction control (thats not locker) out there in A-TRAC, which has been being evolved since the 100 series lost its rear locker in 2000. Trail turn assist has been in the LC200 since 2013, Crawl...
  6. Notes from Wheeling / Breaking / Fixing / Loving the Bronco

Surprising how many 80 series owners end up with Bronco's. We did moab with the 3 of us in our 2 door badlands about a month ago, like you I left my 80 at home. 4k miles with an 8 yr old in a 2 door with a soft top did make for a long 11 days, but it was more comfortable for them than the LC...
  7. 2.3L EcoBoost® I-4 Engine vs 2.7L EcoBoost® V6 Engine... not sure which one?

Completely satisfied with our 2.3 manual in our Badlands. Had zero concerns or issues with power when cruising through colorado, utah, arizona and new mexico last month. Still averaged over 20mpg for the entire trip, including 6 days in Moab. Ran up all the big name passes on I70 in 5th gear...
  8. Another Mid-Year Price Increase as of 07/25/23

How did the sasquatch package on the Badlands get to be a $5200 option? Anywho, looks like my 2 door badlands build would be about $56k that we paid just over $48k for, but I can't add the beadlocks anymore as they are a constraint. If I add the soft top that I definitely didn't pay 2480 for...
  9. 2 doors, 3 people, 17 days, 6000 miles

And here I thought my 4k mile, 11 day trip from Chicagoland to Moab for 6 days and then down to grand canyon with a family of three loaded into our 2 door was impressive. Nicely done.
  10. Is Ford Service really this bad?!

It's mind blowing how atrocious Fords service is compared to Toyota. I'm sure 20 fanboys will post up how I'm wrong, but It's been my experience. No loaner was a shock, toyota still gave me one when they did the airbag and voluntary fuel pump recall long after the warranty expired. It has...
  11. What's your MPG?

This was an almost 3800 mile trip with 4full days of wheeling in Moab, and still made 20.0mpg average for the entire vacation. Hand calculated was close enough to consider this accurate. 2 door badlands non SAS, 2.3 manual, with a trektop. We were completely loaded inside for 3 people for 11...
  12. Moab June 24, 2023

I saw you guys out there, no matter how we tried to avoid your groups we kept crossing paths since you were back and forth on the mining roads between the trail. Looked like you guys were having some fun.
  13. Do you trust the FordPass oil life meter?

Sure do. I did 15k mile intervals on my 97 4runner and that had 450k miles on it when we pulled the drivetrain and swapped it into his 1st gen. It's at 463k now. Do the same 15k mile interval in my LS400, according to Blackstone I could go longer. With the 2.3 being turbo and direct...
  14. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

After waiting for Powertanks 2 door mount to be released, was met with quite the disappointment when I saw that it wouldn't work with a Trektop. So, whipped up my own.
  15. Post your Bronco's garage mates!

That's why we traded off Dana's 4runner. Threw a trektop on the Bronco, and she's loving it. Kinda redundant now that we have multiple Convertible 2 door suv's, but it's nice having options.
  16. Post your Bronco's garage mates!

Shocked to hear you're getting rid of Heather's GX!
  17. Update: Rear Axle Tube - 1200 Miles Warranty Covered

It's a gimmick, and im glad I don't have it on my manual trans badlands. Toyota has had it in the Land Cruiser for a long time and I don't know anyone who actually uses it. Even on trails like black bear, we had no issues with two 2nd gen tundras, a 2nd gen sequoia, or a 200 series land...
  18. Rampage TrailView Fastback Soft Top for 2 door Bronco -- installed first impressions & photos

Oof, that is close. Maybe I'll go back to my original plan to just fab my own. Thanks.
  19. Rampage TrailView Fastback Soft Top for 2 door Bronco -- installed first impressions & photos

Looks great. Also awesome to see it with with the JCR rack, now I'm going to get one for my bestop equipped 2door.
  20. The Finger

I get the most waves in the Bronco from Bronco Sport drivers, but have gotten a couple Jeepers. I wave back. I'm more used to my Land Cruiser, which gets waves from a lot of different vehicles, so long as they are wheelers. Oddly enough, only I receive any waves or compliments/comments in a...
