How much could you sell that $3k worth of equipment for? If the loss on the equipment sale is the same or more than what it costs to install, it's a wash - so do it. If you can get all $3k back by selling, then sell and pocket the $$.
Just having the equipment lying around doesn't help!
Yep. Started happening in May. This is why folks on here were advising against buying an available "stop-gap" Bronco just to flip it in a few months when their actual order came in.
the miles to empty is dynamic. It changes depending on what your most recent (I forget, maybe 50 miles?) MPG are. So, if you go uphill for 20 miles, your miles to empty will drop more than the gas used. If you go downhill a lot, it will shoot up more. So, your system is working just fine.
My dealership honored MSRP, but I don't think I need to give someone a shout out for doing what they are supposed to do. Do I get a shout out for feeding my kids breakfast today? (I do not lol).
I went with the cords. I wonder, with the rigid design, will it get in the way of the airbags? Or does the whole cover fly off when they are deployed (begging the question of whether we want metal bars flying around). Or am I overthinking it?
Again, there's a lot of baked in assumptions there. People have historically made a killing in new economic environments. For example, those who invested heavily and broadly in the market in April 2020 have been treated very well, even with the recent downturn. Same for those in 2008.

This too. Money in pocket, even if costs you, is a nice buffer.
As long as you don't get fleeced on the rate and you aren't financing because you honestly cannot afford the purchase, there are solid benefits.
