This has to be the greatest example of faux online rage i have ever seen. Congrats!
The only word I left out in the initial post is "only." He has a false sense that all he needs to do is look at the rearview camera, without checking his side view mirrors or paying attention to anything else...
This is a non-issue to me as well, and I rarely use the rearview camera. I turn my head occasionally, but mostly use the side mirrors. I'm teaching my 15-yo son to drive now, and I have to harp on him to NOT USE THE REARVIEW CAMERA to back up.
Edit: I left out the word "only"... Ibuse my...
Hey thanks! I will assume you know what you're talking about lol. I looked on the inside, but didn't know where to look. I may remove the spare and see.
+6 makes me feel a bit better about things. Some had discouraged 0 offset. But as a practicing cheapskate, it's hard to pass on great...
Goodyear Fierce MT's. 35/12.50/17s. Not necessarily what I would have chosen to buy new, but got a great deal on them from a friend. Figured I could run them until Spring and see what I wanted to do.
The wheels are older style Fuels. Not sure about the offset...maybe 0? No rubbing and good...
Yes. My reading of the instructions were that the strap went between the speaker and the roll bar. I attached it between the bolt head and the speaker. It seemed to fit better.
I actually had the opportunity to throw on some used 35's to test the ride and look. Excuse the beadlock scrapes...I'm getting the rings powdercoated next week.
With lift and tires, it went from 37 front/38 rear to I believe 41" all around if memory serves.

I've done the same many times, but mine starts to lift at like 30 mph, so I usually see it start to lift and stop on my road. Surprised it stayed to 60 mph.
YOU DON'T WANT THAT SOFT TOP! WAVY WINDOWS! CAN'T WITHSTAND RANDOM MACHINE GUN FIRE! IT WILL EAT YOUR SOUL!
Just kidding.
But no, mine's not for sale...you couldn't rip it from my cold dead hands. I love my soft top but I get the impression it's not that popular around here.
If you...
I turned down $10,000 over what I paid for it. Used car dealer tracked me down in a Whataburger parking lot coming back from the Off-Rodeo. It was tempting though.
"Rock me momma like a wagon wheel..." came to mind... Maybe it's the hugeness of the wheels or the rocking it's bound to do.
But seriously, as impractical as it is, it looks good.
This has been mentioned before, but I think the design is for ease of installation/removal. If it were pulled tight, it would be a bugger to get in and out.
Again, personally I have no issue with the top's appearance. But to each their own.
Everyone has a right to their opinion for sure, but I have a Cactus Gray BB 4dr soft top as well, am 5000 miles in, and my experience is just the opposite. The soft top is relatively quiet, and I have the rear windows in and out down to a science...it takes maybe 5 minutes to put them in. The...
