If this were mine I'd be annoyed but I wouldn't be worried. Probably just a bad sensor or a wiring harness that wasn't plugged in all the way at the factory.

I don't think any Bronco has the Trailer Backup Assist function referred to by the chart. You can try a value of E, and you'll know real quick if it won't work because you'll still have the configuration mismatch fault code.

If that grey box shows different colors depending on how far you are behind the car in front of you then that's controlled by an option in the menus in SYNC4. I think the checkbox is called something along the lines of Show Distance Indicator.
