Howdy,
I bought an digital angle finder and looking to check my pinion angle on my 2 Door Bronco. My new upper/lower control arms were installed by a shop and I want to double check their work.
According to this chart its set between 0-10 degrees for the operating angle. There is also a note...
They are great arms. I like how you can adjust them while on the vehicle and the bushings don’t require constant attention. Trails are still snowed in so can’t really test them off-road yet.
All good now. Shop returned a good portion of the money and their master mechanic did the work and realigned again. Not sure I will ever go back but at least they made things right.
Shop fixed the work, installed things correctly and gave me back a large portion of the labor costs. All good now for install! I still double checked all the work at the shop and then verified torque on all bolts.
They set the alignment specs to the following. How’s this look? Bronco rear end...
Howdy,
My Ford Dealer was able to reimburse me about $1800 for my Bilstein 6112s due to my stock Sasquatch shocks leaking and no parts were available at the time of the recall. Which I was pretty grateful for! They however had a heck of time of removing the Bilstein recall from my Bronco...
Story time grab a cold one,
Looking for advice on some recent work done on my Bronco. No names used but here the story goes.
Where I live any reputable 4x4 shops are over 1 hour drive away. I was going to a decent 4x4 shop but their senior mechanic retired and the new technicians didn’t do as...
Well I got my control arms installed however have to take my Bronco back to the shop Monday! They installed the uppers in reverse! Then failed to torque the gas tank bolts. One was hanging down flapping in the wind and could have came off driving. Then they didn’t adjust the sleeves properly...
Very Nice hardtail! I went back to hardtail after many years on a full suspension bike. So much more fun to climb and makes the descents a blast.
I got a long travel Guerilla Gravity Pedalhead. Running the 150mm Mezzer Pro fork. Love it. I switch between 29 and 27.5 plus.
Typically when you lift a vehicle the track bar has to be extended because the axle moves to the driver side. You need to measure from your frame to the outside edge of your tire. Use a small piece of wood or wood ruler then a long straight edge against the tire. Measure the distance than...
For whatever it’s worth, I installed a track bar relocation bracket the track bar is now level. Running clip 5 on my 6112s 2 door Sas. Didn’t really notice much of a difference with the Bronco driving. Getting alignment and rear control arms installed tomorrow. See if that makes any difference. 🤔
I use the spray on quick ceramic wax and quick wax. Using Wizards now. Works well at shedding water and mud. I had Adam’s graphene but it left some minor resude near plastics that I need to clear out. They all work about the same on the cheap spray types.
