Howdy,

My Ford Dealer was able to reimburse me about $1800 for my Bilstein 6112s due to my stock Sasquatch shocks leaking and no parts were available at the time of the recall. Which I was pretty grateful for! They however had a heck of time of removing the Bilstein recall from my Bronco. Service Manager went round and round with corporate.

Checking to see what other folks have done about getting the recall removed that have replaced their stock recalled shocks?

It’s been stated on other threads that corp ford gets around to processing the recall off your bronco whenever they feel like it. For some reason it takes forever sometimes, that is what I have read anyway.

Personally the recall can stay listed forever on my Bronco, it affects me in no way.
I have a recall listed for 22 years now on another vehicle, I get a letter every few years about it and in the trash it goes. The item was addressed before the recall was even issued at the dealership.

I replaced the shocks myself on my Bronco and won’t spend one moment of my time trying to have a recall note removed.

They likely won’t remove it because it’s a safety recall.
I asked them to and this was their response:

Interesting thanks for the information. That’s pretty much what the Service Manager told me.
