Aside from preference and wanting to do as little as possible while driving, I donât know why anyone would âwantâ an auto in 2020.
All it is and ever has been is preference and driving style.
But if going by generation then wouldnât that make this first edition the 6th edition already?
Each one would still be first edition of its generation. Second edition would be more like second year of that generation.
Or would this one be the FFE(First First edition) since theyâve never called...
Pretty much anything you do in life can now be done better by a machine, does that mean youâre going to stop living?
Not everything is simply about efficiency. Especially when the day to day use isnât going to be drastically different between them. Even youâre two examples are almost opposites...
How long a manual lasts tends to have more to do with the driver. An auto doesnât have that benefit(or downside depending on driver). And manual can last life of the vehicle too. In fact never had to actually rebuild any manual, outside maybe replacing the clutch/pressure plate(only had 3...
Thanks, gf says I got too many bikes. I say not enough. Lol
And Iâm just playin devils advocate :devilish:
The real âissueâ isnât the people that know the trims, itâs that even ones that donât âbaseâ already sounds like the cheapest option. So just make up your own trim name and if they call ya...
Well if she knows enough to know the trims then it doesnât matter the name of it, sheâll still know itâs the cheapest one and if her reaction is what you say to the base, it would still be her reaction to it by whatever other name it was.
Yea Iâve seen that, and itâs fun to see just what went into it all. The gladiator had to go from a frame and body never really designed to tow like a truck to a truck that keeps the look(and shares as many parts as possible) but beefed up enough to tow as much as possible and exceed what that...
And youâre needs according to your own posts are not needing bronco to tow 5k camper because you have truck to tow but needing bronco to tow 12k gooseneck on some made up race and then go up a mountain or two and add a non existent accessory that will allow you to drive on the ocean floor. So...
You donât need a bronco. You donât need to go off-road at all, and donât need a bronco to do it. Nobody needs a bronco. But we all want one or most likely wouldnât be on a forum dedicated to one. Saying what you donât need isnât productive to the conversation at all. No nobody needs to tow with...
New Defender 90 has 102 wheelbase like the 2 dr bronco and still over 8k tow rating. So not shorter wheelbase on bronco, thatâs much shorter than the 4 door(and the 110 is only 3in longer than 4dr). Also half a dozen or more suvs with similar wheelbase to bronco 4dr can tow around 8k. And...
I canât believe a base bronco canât rock crawl itâs way up the side of Mount Everest, is it even off road capable if it canât?
Thatâs about how you sound. Nobodyâs asking for 12k, because yea thatâs ridiculous. A 1500lb increase from what it currently is, at least in some variation, would...
If I wanted to tow heavy things Iâd buy a truck too. But 5000lbs really ainât that heavy. Suvs and small trucks tow almost double that, bigger trucks tow triple that. If asking for 7-8k or more then yea, go for an suv or truck thats already rated to do that.
Yep, though there is still the exceptions of if the turn signal is 2.5 times brighter or far enough away from DRL then the DRL doesnât have to shut off. So really the problem is that new DRLs are so bright, a turn signal 2.5 times brighter would be almost blinding.
Donât think engine wear should be a concern at all, the same engine tows more than double the broncos rating in the ranger already. The manual transmission is new, but 3500 really ainât that much so aside from driver slipping the clutch too much Iâd think it could handle it fine. Tacomaâs can...
Nobodyâs expecting truck capability, havenât seen anybody asking for that. Wranglers tow cap hasnât changed in decades, so thereâs definitely room for improvement without hurting function, and the bronco has the exact same tow rating right now regardless of configuration, even the wrangler has...
How bout this, ya pay me $600 and Iâll go pick up your bronco and drive it out to you and then ya still save $700 under invoice ;) lol
As for your company code, probably have to talk to someone somewhere at your company. My jobs at a company thatâs part of xplan, as well as some other incentive...
Again you missed my point slightly. Of course thereâs people that want the 2 door, thatâs not what I meant. And if thatâs what you want yes the fact the 2 dr tows more than the 2 dr wrangler is a win. But people that were hoping for more than 3500 were expecting to get the 4 door, and expecting...
Only on the two door, which if you were hoping to be able to tow anything I wouldnât think youâd be getting anyways. As you said 4 dr matches, thatâs not ahead. So Jeep actually beats the bronco in that thereâs a benefit to the 4 dr over the 2 dr for that reason. Which the same benefit should...
But Jeep has a 1500lb difference between 2 dr and 4 dr just for wheelbase alone, bronco 2 dr has 3500lbs, add 1500lbs and look ya get the 5k most are asking for. I donât need 8k for towing(or a truck bed), but 3500 doesnât cut it, so yea for myself and others 5k would be the perfect middle...
