This is an interesting conversation. I had always worked under the assumption that Reverse would be as robust as a slow forward gear. Granted the low gearing of Reverse would result in higher torque loads, which could explain damage.
That does look like what I have in mind. For the most part it is going to be empty (maybe even detached in the back) and then get attached to grab random BS off of the trails.
I am not sure if the two crash bars are different distances from the center of the wheel or if they are placed in about the same spot front to back.
If the rear crash bar is further away than the front one you would theoretically have more clearance.
I'll check tomorrow and let you know.
A canvas dump bag that attaches to the side of the spare tire, to be used as a trash bag.
Plenty that go on the wheel surface, therefore blocking the backup camera. I want one that straps around the tread and sits next to the spare
What is the cheapest reprogram tool that will work for a decent amount of time. No need for it to last 100 years, just need to adjust tire size, remove the warning honks, etc.
True wheel width and offset will effect clearance.
My thought is that the BB wheels are the same offset and width as the Badlands wheels, which ship stock with 285/70s.
The Rough Country Tubular rear bumper is closer.
The first company to market a modular rear bumper that matches the nice smooth sheet metal bends on the front bumper will get my money.
If you are sticking with those stock 17" wheels there are a few options.
For the super safe option that has 100% no rubbing with crash bars installed, 285/70r17 will be a good bet.
For an option with a bit larger size but slight rubbing at full lock, 285/75r17. This also keeps crash bars
