I really want one of these, but I have an early 21' build without the rivnuts. The moment M2M releases their Rivnut template or guide I'm placing my order.
May I see that custom Ford emblem? I am looking to do the same.
I have a Big Bend without the sig lights, as they didn't seem necessary. While I like the look of the signature light DRLs, I also like how the standard lights are a bit more retro styled with a round light and smaller turn signal.
One guy on here did a 1" body lift, then mounted a lightbar between the grill and bumper. It closed out the gap really well, and I am usually body lift hater #1.
I can confirm that 285/75r17 Toyo Open Countries will fit with no rub side to side on a stock Big Bend.
I am running Black Diamond takeoffs, but they are the exact same width and offset as the BB wheels.
Here's another potential style idea: KBD fender flares.
Edit: just noticed your comments...
Would have to be an external tire carrier that still swings to the right, mounted to the bumper. At least that's how the older ones did it.
I wonder what crash rating stuff came into play when choosing which tailgate/carrier design to go with?
Wouldn't a drop down tailgate just smash into the hitch? On the F150 there is a bit more vertical space to accommodate the hitch, but with the lower load floor of the Bronco there is limited space.
I guess you would be able to crack the tailgate a bit, but that would still be really awkward to...
One thing worth noting is that the Mickeys are E rating in that size so they will be quite stiff. They were a top pick for me until I realized that, because I don't need an indestructible tire for the trails I drive.
@AARDVARK122 has Mickey Thompsons in that size, but it appears he has at least a mild lift.
That being said, the difference between the two is less than .3" total or .15" lost clearance, and the 255/85 are narrower so I would guess the clearance would be nearly identical.
I don't understand why they don't frame their comparisons so that it is compared to the Jeep. Like for the points based rating it makes sense to just present the numbers, but for all of the word salad talking about how it has more body roll than a Prius, no duh.
If they used the point system to...
I think the strong reaction (I guess I kinda started it lol) is meant to discourage this kind of teasing in the future.
IMO, if a company makes a video to tease something, that something should be in the teaser video.
100%! When I see visible quality defects it always makes me wonder what invisible or hidden issues there are. I remind myself that fit finish issues are lower priority than safety issues, but the thought is still there.
If they were advertising ADV fiberglass fenders (which were shown in the video) then it would be fine. They showed no teaser for their own product.
When a car company teases a trunk corner, it's usually a brand new design for something.
I'm not buying the "highly social cohort" stuff, this...
