We dont do formal campgrounds. My trailer (Patriot Campers X1) is built for truly going off the grid with its 360 degree articulating hitch, ground clearance (close to 20") & departure angle (40 degrees) and I have been known to rock crawl with it to get to those epic spots…so a...
All I know is the rear of my 4dr BL squats with my offroad camper. The 2 reinforcement bars wont help me and I’ll be looking at different coilover setups (maybe adjustable) since the helper bags that go inside the coils isnt an option. I have 3 months to figure this out before season starts.
Yes that's what I do, however wireless CarPlay has lag which is what I'm trying to get away from. I have Gaia maps on my phone and iPad but use the iPad specifically for it.
I haven't been able to get my iphone 13 pro to connect to sync or carplay using the dash usb-c or usb-a ports. I also see that it has the battery charging icon on the usb faceplate as well vs the other icon that’s on the ports below the center stack.
Good luck and hopefully it works out for you. The trektop is much better IMO to the oem top if you dont mind it not folding all the way back. I replaced the oem top with the trektop after the 1st week.
Yes. Cold start up, during higher idle, also sounds like its spitting/sputtering misfiring and the rpms dont vary much. Once the rpms knock down it goes away.
I just figured its normal as my f150 3.5 has the cold rattle at cold start up but then again it doesnt make spit & sputter noises...
Why are these 2 ports on the dash for charging only vs being able to connect to carplay wired? When out on the trails, I use my ipad mini gaia gps that displays on carplay. Works perfect wired but not a fan of wireless carplay with the app. Wife likes to plug her phone in for carplay as well.

As the previous poster mentioned^^^ tapping into the dome light wouldn't work. A couple people have already gone down this rabbit hole even trying PWM converters from diode dynamics with no luck.
Would you still wire the steps override switch in to prevent steps from opening up if you’re stuck on a rock? Not sure whether you plan to offroad or not.
If its in 4L, have you tried putting the gear selector in Neutral before trying to switch back? Sometimes vehicles need to roll slightly before disengaging 4L.
Here are my setups. Original was the co2 setup in my jeep, then went with the viair 400p when I started towing an offroad camper & final setup is the twin arb portable. Saves me considerable time when Im airing up to 6 33”-35” tires at a time multiple times during outings.
