Just wait till you guys see what I created in cad. Now if I can just finish building my 3d printer so I can do a test print and check for fitment. This project alone had me learn cad, buy and build a 3d printer and teach myself everything lol. All while working 70+hrs a week.
Never had an issue on my f150 regarding forscan but that’s also why I back up my files before and after changing. That way I can revert to factory settings if needed before it goes in and revert back after its home from dealership. But again, never encountered the issue with Ford. With jeep yes...
Fuse #29 for constant hot, #35 for ignition. Need to pick up micro2 fuse-taps. Found on amazon. Grounding screw can be found under the steering column as well to the right of the fuse box.
Yes. Much easier to do that than do what I did and only make a set of them hot. You have the option to make switches 1-4 hot or 5-6 or all. First time I mistakenly wired 1-4 hot when I was trying for 5-6. I had the diagrams and pinouts in front of me too. I blame it on the wife as thats when she...
Not sure where you live, but going to a dealership around here is like beating your head on a desk all day. Hell, challenging enough to get a dealership to properly cut & program a key fob. Doesn't matter if its Jeep or Ford.
Kind of like when the wife came out to the garage and found her couple week old 4dr BL in this condition and asked me…”I thought you were just installing a dashcam?” I was but I wanted to see where everything was while I was doing it. Not to mention I went ahead and wired switches 5&6 to be hot...
Ive had my a-pillars trim & windshield trim removed at least 3 times now and have some pics. But then again, I have the lux and switches, so my wiring may vary from those without. There is a single harness connection on each a-pillar.
I have installed usb ports (dual usb-c/usb-a) on the outside of my camper trailer. Just pick up marine grade ports that have the o-ring seals and dust caps and you’ll be fine.
I would just drill a whole and go aftermarket. Nothing special about this one. Wouldn't you have the drill the hole anyways to install the factory one?
Had it in surround since it left the dealership. 3k miles later…the B&O system still sucks. This coming from my wife who is not the one in our household who typically upgrades audio in vehicles.
