  1. Spare CV Axle Questions

Haven't seen anyone post about a broken intermediate shaft for a while.
  2. New Filson Edition Bronco Coming Early 2027

Not sure what the $150 flannel shirt demographic is and I live in California...
  3. Finally nailed my RSEs

How much did that set you back? Bought a set for Rock Slides for the wife's jeep, deeply regret not getting rough country or amp steps. The drop down bars on the Rock slide are always in the way and they are now so flimsy compared to the originals.
  4. 2.7 not as responsive as a 2.3

Its kind of both? The 3.73 gears allow the turbo to spool longer, as you hit 2nd gear there is less boost drop. The other advantage is Turbo work off load, more load they better they build pressure. The 3.73 give more load in lower gears allowing it to work better. Turbo lag is the gap between...
  5. 2.7 not as responsive as a 2.3

The 3.73 gears make more boost in the first 2 gears and it stays in boost longer. In town driving pulling away from a light it's extremely noticeable compared to SAS vehicles.
  6. Quiet Axleback suggestions

I have Gibson exhaust and its pretty tame, muffler is next to the driveshaft. Very slight drone at 1.4K rpms with the 2.3. I would look for something with 2 mufflers if you really want to avoid drone. Two separate mufflers stand the best chance of moving resonance frequency lower than drive rpms
  7. Coilovers - changing springs to effect ride height.

No rear and Is still run the front on/offroad.
  8. Coilovers - changing springs to effect ride height.

Got to do a little more testing yesterday and going to stick it out with the 600lb fronts and 200lb rears. For me the swap to 200lbs rear springs got me a solid 2 1/2" of drop after a week of settling. After cranking them back up to a total of 1 1/2" drop the ride got substantially better. Its...

Did you change the motor oil and air filter yet?
  10. Skid plate suggestions for non - rock crawler

Factory Ford skids and an aftermarket transmission skid are the combo. Rubicon, moab or desert your good to go.
  11. Steering rack bushings cheap options and alternatives. Reviews pending!

No worries, needed to go to someone who will use them.
  12. Fair Pricing for a 2 inch Zone Leveling Kit

I would look at Bilstein 5100s so you don't pay twice down the road when you need new shocks in 1-2 years. $500-600 for install and $100 for an alignment. Its maybe 3 hours for skill mechanic, even less with good power tools.
  13. Coilovers - changing springs to effect ride height.

So the springs dropped my rear 1.5" with slightly more preload. Eibach springs needed an extra few turns as they are maybe 1/4" shorter. Going to drive around a while and see if I want to do the front. The 40, 60 & 80mph Speed bump test was two middle fingers from the spectators at church. After...
  14. I just broke a tie rod on the last trail I went on

A stock hoss 3.0 is the best option, you want a fresh one every few years if you wheel. They slowly burn up assist motor and have overheating errors from hard use.
  15. Snacktime's Broken Bronco Build

May 2026 changes are storage and lowered the Bronco down with 200lb Eibach rear springs. Rides is so much better with the front cranked back down to normal height.
