They absolutely do not say the same thing.
Ford is now allocating Broncos in 2021 to dealers based 50% on reservations before Sept 18, 25% to competitive market share in the dealer area and 25% to dealers previous sales of other Ford product.
This allocation formula is new. It did not exist...
That isnāt correct, those dates are dealer allocation cut-off dates. They may also approximate model year cut-off, but those dates will vary by dealer. In other words, itās not a guarantee that if your reservation is on the Sept 19th you will receive a 2022.
Edit: Lots of confusion. I take responsibility, Iām sure if I were a better writer there would have been much less.
Bullet point boil down before reading the original post:
Point 1 - Last Week Ford significantly changed the production order of Broncos (see attachment shared only with...
Hopefully he knows what he is talking about cause that means they will have others events in other regions. Wonder how they pick the Ford dealers who get the honor - 95% wonāt be able to host an event like this.
There may be something regional where you can see a pre-production (I donāt know) but Broncos will defintely not be at dealerships before ordering. Itās not possible given the production process.
25% think itās intentional
25% think itās a mistake and if we would all just shut up, Ford will never be able to figure it out
25% thinks itās a B&P pricing error
25% canāt believe we spend our time arguing with one another instead of promoting world peace
I took poetic license with my post, it was already too long and effectively took the viewpoint that some have accused you of. Explaining that in the post takes some of the punch away. However, you do realize the post supports your asking the question?
At any rate I realize you donāt want to...
Didnāt know about this one, but it is consistent B&P behavior. Any option that requires an AT (Mid pkg and now high pkg in your example, V6 and SAS) adds it for free but will not give you the credit for the AT for any further AT dependent options you select. The possibility this is correct is...
I see your point, youāre afraid of Farley saying something like this.
Our product planners and other team members spent months on our Bronco pricing strategy and decided to make the auto transmission a free upgrade with any package/option that requires it (but oddly enough not give credit for...
Fascinating, hadnāt thought of the used car dealer angle. Sales taxes definitely the big issue for most considering flipping.
Curious why you wouldnāt try to sell above sticker - you feel that is a bad for your dealership reputation overall?
Thanks for sharing.
Youāre right! Even a Ford employee can figure out that the transmission is effectively free with any option where the AT is required (Mid Pkg, V6 and SAS). Thus we donāt have to worry about āalertingā the mothership.
Itās either intended and will be left as is or itās wrong and Ford was always...
Actually itās $1,600 standalone. ? On a BB Ford letās you choose ā $1,500 for all Mid Pack options plus the automatic or you can pay $1,600 for just the automatic. Iām going to run a poll to see which is best way to go.
The $1,600 auto transmission is also included as part of the $1,500 Mid pack. Either Ford has pricing errors or they are doing a big auto transmission freebie which is possible but unlikely.
The way it behaves once selected also defies logic. If you get the āfreeā automatic in the Mid...
Ford has showed incompetence over the past few months that I would have thought was impossible from any major auto maker. But you canāt seriously think they will include the error (if this is indeed an error) in the actual ordering program. Damn those meddling kids, er 6g posters, if only...
