  1. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

There is no real doubt they were advised to stop advertising because based on Ford’s new allocation method they will not receive enough product to cover all the reservations that are being switched to their dealership. Which is of course why Ford made this change. Big dealers are pissed that...
  2. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

This nothing to do with the distinction between an order and a reservation. The allocation change was made by Ford last week. Nothing in your post demonstrates you have read the dealer allocation notification (see first post) and followed through how it impacts when (some) customers receive...
  3. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

It‘s interesting to read your previous posts and then note the change of opinion after seeing how this works in the real world (TX low cost group buy doesn’t want more reservations because they are getting screwed by the new allocation formula).
  4. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

I do. That isn’t going to do anything more for them than if someone else owned that Jeep Franchise under the allocation formula. This thread isn’t about a specific dealer. These changes impact every dealer for good or bad.
  5. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

What your arguing changes with each of your posts if you go back though them. Your first argument was this shouldn‘t be a new thread. Based on the posts in here, I’d say a lot of people don’t understand how Ford’s changes impact when they may receive their Bronco (not to mention non forum...
  6. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

Thats my interpretation but the point is you can’t understand how Broncos will be produced from the QA. You need to read that dealer allocation memo and realize if you’re not a very early reservation, you may not receive your Bronco in reservation order. Dealer selection matters for more than...
  7. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

Unfortunately You’re wrong. It has absolutely changed.
  8. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

Anyone that reads that formula and doesn’t realize a small town dealer with a huge # of reservations isn’t going to be allocated enough Broncos doesn’t understand the formula. As has already been stated, how it effects most dealers is a big Unkown. We do know that what was once simple (rough...
  9. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

Which are? The assumption that this was done at large dealer behest comment was preceded by “presumably“. Maybe that “residency“ isn’t really in reference to the new allocation scheme? OK, then Ford revised their Allocation Q&A and didn’t mention they just made a huge change to how allocation...
  10. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

You‘re day one (as am I), you almost assuredly have nothing to worry about for yourself other than doing business with a Company that behaves in this manner.
  11. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

Step 1 - Ford changed the way Broncos get allocated by developing a dealer allocation formula. It’s a guarantee that Broncos will no longer be produced in just approximate reservation order. Step 2 - Ford revised their Q&A titled “Will reservations be fulfilled in the order placed?”. They...
  12. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

What??? They already had it! Produce in approximate reservation order. They were always going to produce and ship in the most effective manner - thus they used the word ”approximately”. Your right, NOW, unless you are a very early reservation holder you have no idea when you may get your Bronco...
  13. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

I’ve now linked the allocation formula in the first post. It doesn’t help Granger or Granger’s customers.
  14. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

You apparently don’t understand what the dealer allocation changes mean so I don’t know how else to explain it. What you typed above is how production was to work under Ford’s original communication to us. It is no longer true.
  15. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

Yea, I got a huge raise at my job by taking credit for pointing out that Ford has not properly disclosed this change in a newly revised Q&A. Where has this been discussed - show me.
  16. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

Because the Q&A is new and the allocation discussion is buried at the end of the thread. The first post in that thread isn’t even correct about what the memo means. It’s very confusing. Why do you think a change by Ford that can impact when many people receive their Bronco does‘t deserve a...
  17. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

There was none! It was supposed to be just rough reservation order!
  18. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

And they have now told us by a revision to the FAQ which is completely indecipherable if you don’t already know about dealer allocation change. That is the whole point of the original post. They will point to ”residency“ when you get shafted by your dealer not getting allocation.
  19. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

This is the new Ford allocation formula. This is what (should be) covered by the new Q&A. If you don’t understand this is different, Ford has been successful in their mission to obfuscate their change.
  20. Ford Changes How Broncos are Allocated - But Doesn’t Want You to Know

It’s actually a way of saying (very unclearly) delivery of your Bronco is impacted by where your dealer is located and how his allocation works.
