Roughly an inch of tire height. About half an inch of ride height. Sidewalls go from 7.85 on the regular Badlands tire to 8.42 on the 285/75/17 replacement. Overall tire height difference will be just over an inch.
Keep in mind the 35 inch tires on the Sasquatch package are 315/70/17 sized...
You can get the first four things on the list if you order a Badlands trim. And you get the upgraded suspension. I know the 4.7 gears are only if you stick with the manual transmission, but you can get those things without the Sasquatch package. The bump stops/extra .5 inch of height for...
I have a 2 door Badlands reserved. Will spend 80 percent of its life on the road, maybe 15 percent on the beach and fire roads and maybe 5 percent on any kind of technical trail.
For me (having grown up on a farm with an OLD Willy's Jeep, having an S-10 blazer I took offroad, and a 2012 2 door...
Same for me really. I was planning on going manual transmission and keeping the 33 inch wheels most likely anyway. I can just change the tires to a larger size later if I want to. There is just nothing in the Sasquatch package that merits 2500 bucks if you're already in a Badlands trim. Just my...
Yeah, seems like most people are thinking you have to tack 1600 MORE on top of that amount for the auto transmission in order to go Sasquatch. Just seems like to go Sasquatch on the Badlands trim should be about half that at most.
Got it. In that case, the Sasquatch package on the Badlands is just not worth it in my opinion. That 2500 bucks can go a LONG way to wheels and tires. Especially since I'm sure there will be a ton of Base and BD trim folks who will buy the Badland take off wheel's and tires from you.
2500 for a...
This.
I don't disagree with folks who want the base and then make it there own. I think the Black Diamond may be the best overall bang for your buck off-roader in the Bronco lineup. With all that said though, I just feel like the Badlands gives you the best options.
A regular base Badlands...
After reading through this thread, now I'm curious if that 2500 on the Badlands (to add Sasquatch) is intended to also cover adding the automatic transmission. If so, the auto unit is 1600 bucks standalone, leaving a 900 dollar difference for the wheels/tires/flares/bump stops on the Badlands...
This is great news and I will almost certainly be switching my reservation to your dealership within the next month. MUCH closer to me as I'm in Charlotte, NC. Not going to change my reservation just yet. Holding onto that chip for the moment, at least until after I can do a few builds on build...
This has been my plan for a while now. Get a Badlands 2-door with the 2.3L, manual transmission, Lux Package, Tow Package, painted black top. I'll swap out the 33 inch all terrains almost immediately for 285/75/17 all terrain tires. That will put me super close in tire height to the Sasquatch...
True. Should have clarified it's too high for me, in my opinion. I would rather have the manual, so the all in price on the 2.7 would have to be much lower to entice me to give up the manual and move to the 2.7. If it were more like 1995, I'd jump on it. But nearly double that? Not for me I...
So on the pricing for the mid, high and luxury packages, am I to read that as going to the Lux package is 5k total? Or is it 9200 total? (1500 for mid PLUS 2700 for High PLUS 5000 more for Lux)? If 5k to just go all in on Mid/High/Lux, then sign me up.
Also, since I reserved a Badlands, I don't...
The scenarios you're laying out are why I'm strongly considering just switching to @Granger Ford and being done with it. They have been upfront and honest with everything they know currently, and I'm already pretty sure I ain't getting a better deal anywhere around me.
A flight from Charlotte...
The more and more I read through these, the more I think I will go 2 door Badlands with 33 inch tires and forego the Sasquatch pack, keep the manual transmission and then just swap to taller tires later (and add bump stops if they are really needed.)
Negative. Did paint correction and ceramic coating on my Challenger and regretted it constantly. I was all in for about 1700 bucks at the time on it and it was just never worth it. Doing it yourself? Maybe. To me though, it's not worth the time or cost.
I could have paid for an awful lot of...
