  1. Badlands vs Black Diamond

Mine came at 40 from the dealer. It's been 3 months and they had drifted down to 35 so I just aired them back up to 40 today (door plate says 39). Honestly I couldn't tell much difference. Maybe it felt softer at 35. At 40 I wouldn't call it rough, but it's definitely ... stiffer? I prefer...
  2. Gangstead

    North Texas Bronco Club

I did the Moab Off Roadeo. I think the steepest we saw was around 30° (according to the off road display) and it felt like you were driving straight up a wall, but not like you were going to die. What did make the seat turn brown was a highly banked slope, 24° according to the display. It was...

  4. Another Moab Review - strongly recommended

I think the only thing that might have been in the way for my BD with the Steelies (if I had it out there) would maybe be some lack of ground clearance. I did all the crazy stuff with the rear locker only. I'm looking to see what options I have for bigger tires on the steelies, but might be...
  5. Grab handles??

I saw someone on the forum here had taken their grab handle off and used some aluminum bar to make a rail between the two bolts. Then they had cell phone holders, knife holder etc on there. You could either make one of those or maybe buy their grab handle!
  6. BEHOLD! Rear cup holders!

I might try the DIY route. I think that linked one goes into their special Molle plate that also has bolt holes between the Molle cutouts. My kids don't need cup holders bad enough for me to drill into the seat backs, at least not yet.
  7. BEHOLD! Rear cup holders!

This looks perfect. Thanks. I just ordered one. I've got 3 kids across the back but in one of the pictures they show it sitting on top of the console so hopefully that works.
  8. Uses for the space under the rear seats?

Good point. I hadn't tried putting it down due to my ginormous car seat. I just unhooked it and the seat folds down and takes up about 80% of that space. I was thinking a skinny canvas bag might be nice to stuff some stuff in there and be able to slide it out easily for access or the rare day...
  9. Uses for the space under the rear seats?

I found that one of those cheap folding camp chairs fits down there nicely: Two chairs wouldn't fit. It's a shame Ford didn't make some trays or some storage to use that space better. Heck they could have just raised the floor up and made the gas tank bigger.
  10. BEHOLD! Rear cup holders!

I think if you have the leather seats there is a fold down arm rest in the middle seat with a cup holder. It wouldn't help me because I have a car seat in the middle.
  11. BEHOLD! Rear cup holders!

I like the idea. I've got the MOLLE bottle holder pouch for my kids. Works great for bottles but occasionally we're getting drive through sodas and the kids are stuck with cups between their legs. Ram mounts are good stuff. Any ideas for how to get the ball mount to the MOLLE panel?
  12. I don't understand why this winch mount solution hasn't been mass produced yet? (video in post)

For those of you who said you'd use a winch but never the camera: I was one of you but I came out of the Off Rodeo thinking the camera would be way more useful. When your are crestng a hill or descending you really can't see anything in front. The one Bronco in our group of 8 with the camera...
  13. I don't understand why this winch mount solution hasn't been mass produced yet? (video in post)

I'm the same way. I just came back from the Moab Off Roadeo and was I was ready to go all out including angry eyes to get my Bronco ready for crawling. Then I look at alltrails.com and the nearest place is 2 hours away at an off road park where you have to pay an entrance fee and they have...
  14. Potential for aftermarket Sway Bar / StaBar Disconnect?

I was at the Moab Off Roadeo and managed to crawl underneath a Badlands and snag a pic of the sway bar disconnect: What you are looking at: The sway bar instead of being a usual one curvy }-shaped piece is multiple pieces bolted together. Hard to get in the picture but there is an additional...
  15. Badlands modular bumper torx bolt size?

OK the bolts are 100% Torx Plus TP-40. Just make sure not to get Torx Plus Security/Tamper Resistant which has the wrong number of sides (5 vs 6). Regular Torx Security bits are the same in every way except adding a hole, but TP Security has a hole and 5 sides. Torx Plus 40 on the left...
  16. Another Moab Review - strongly recommended

I went to the Moab Off Roadeo this weekend (10/2) and it was awesome. I'm from Texas and I'm sure the Austin one is fun and definitely go to whichever one you are able but I don't see how it could compare. I got last minute spousal clearance to leave her with the kids and go out to Moab with a...
  17. Badlands modular bumper torx bolt size?

That's crazy if that's the actual specification. The non-plus Torx security bit (in the same picture) has the same six lobes as a regular Torx bit. I've got a new set of non-security Torx plus (confirmed 6 lobes in the product picture) on the way from Amazon. Will report back.
  18. Badlands modular bumper torx bolt size?

Wow can't believe I missed that. I can't believe Amazon would sell me junk (lol).
  19. Badlands modular bumper torx bolt size?

I just used a regular T40 (not plus). It wiggles and doesn't feel right but doesn't cam out and strip.
  20. Windshield chip /crack / replacement inventory concerns

I just got a crack yesterday after less than 2 months of ownership so now I'm convinced it's a thing! Had my last car for 10 years without a single chip. It was a Subaru Outback with a much more raked windshield angle.
