  1. Colorado maiden voyage for a Black Diamond Bronco

@hunterg54 couple times when I was messing with different modes. I pretty much played with all the options on the way up. 2wd crawl, 2wd crawl with locker. 4H, 4L. The trail was fairly rough and I don't have a pump so we ran at at 30PSI. Got pretty bumpy if we went too fast. Once we got to the...
  2. Colorado maiden voyage for a Black Diamond Bronco

@Blksn955.o. my wife said the same thing. We saw a group come down red cone as well. She was having trouble just watching them!
  3. Colorado maiden voyage for a Black Diamond Bronco

@Over it so far I just removed the crash bars. Will do a lift when the right one is available.
  4. Colorado maiden voyage for a Black Diamond Bronco

@International_George @dingle87 The tires are Kenda Klever RT's. 35x10.5R17. Allowed me to keep the factory black steelies from a width standpoint. haven't noticed any rubbing yet, had them on for ~3,000 miles, but minimal off roading. Plan on adding longer coilovers to get a little lift...
  5. Bronco Owners Poll: have you had any QC issue?

About 4,000 miles on the clock with a cross country road trip. Overall for being a July build early in the process nothing has been too extreme but it does have a few quirks. 1. Parking brake switch was broke at delivery. Granger fixed it right away. Took the truck in to track down a...
  6. Bronco Sasquatch suspension parts (shocks & springs) price quoted at $1300 from dealer parts department

@peta8368 that was my original thought but after working it out with @North7, he showed me the spring perches are drastically different on the bottom. The coils are also shaped quite differently. They do come together the same at the top though. I was able to get shock and spring diagrams from...
  7. Mod #1 Srsly Ford. Mounted front license plate by drilling front bumper

License plate bracket came in. It is a flip up. Took a while to find one I felt comfortable with drilling another hole in and it still stay together. Drilled one hole to line up with the Bronco bolts on the mod bumper. Looks pretty good for a front plate. Flips up and out of the way to use tow...
  8. Bronco Sasquatch suspension parts (shocks & springs) price quoted at $1300 from dealer parts department

@Bigmoose I am still waiting on parts. They said the shocks have arrives. Waiting on the springs. I attached a photo of what I ordered. The spring part numbers are for a BD Sasquatch with the 2.3 and base option package. One additional thing I found is that the protection bellows/bumpers have...
  9. Colorado maiden voyage for a Black Diamond Bronco

If I lived higher in the mountains I would probably go with the 2.7 as well. You almost need need to start in crawl mode if you need to get moving quickly. I just remember we had to cross traffic to make a left from a stop. I was in 1st and sport mode. Felt like I was driving thru quick sand as...
  10. Colorado maiden voyage for a Black Diamond Bronco

We got lucky and did not have as long of wait as everyone else but it was well worth it. My wife's dad had a bronco while she was growing up so she had some memories of cruising around in one. We went back and forth on whether we should spend the money on this. It's not cheap.... as soon as we...
  11. Colorado maiden voyage for a Black Diamond Bronco

For day to day driving I think the 2.3/MT does pretty good. It's never going to be a sports car but if you put it in sport mode and increase the RPMs of your shift points, I feel like it is plenty responsive. I can't remember what thread but I saw it on here a month or 2 ago. He said it if...
  12. Engine Running Hot?

The 2.3 seems to like running warm. I spent ~25 mins running up 3 - 9 degree grades in 1st gear, low rpms off road earlier this week. Oil temp started at 215 and slowly crept up to 223. Was there for a while before I got to the top. No lights, no warnings. Appears normal and to be expected...
  13. Rear Brake Light Extension?

I installed the RC extension. If you have the hardtop it will work great. On the soft top it presses against the top when it is all the way folded down. When I have some time I am going to see if my tire fits without the extension. It will be close.
  14. Colorado maiden voyage for a Black Diamond Bronco

Took a long weekend and headed out to Colorado to do some relaxing. Got to see alot of on-road sites and was able to spend a little time off road. Before the Bronco my extent of off roading was mudding in some fields during high school. One of the main reasons I got the Bronco was to be able...
  15. Pizza cutter 35" spare - rubber bumpers?

So I am going to meet in the middle for now. I ordered some Jeep spare tire bump stops on Amazon for cheap. I will shave those down to the correct height. Then if I go different rims in the future I will still have the original stops if I need to relocate the spare tire bracket. Thanks for...
  16. How to: Recalibrate Speedometer with Forscan for 2021 Bronco

@evilletruck did the step through to do this work smooth for you? Any other gremlins jump out during the process?
  17. Pizza cutter 35" spare - rubber bumpers?

I am debating the spare tire relocation or just adjust the size of the rubber stops now. I will hav eot look at the curve of the 3rd brake light bracket and see what moving it up another 2 inches does. What I found yesterday when I put the relocation bracket on is the bracket now pushes on a...
  18. 35" (Pineapple) Pizza Cutters???

I just threw these Kenda 35x10.5r17's on mine. Just waiting on new coil overs to complete the mansquatch
  19. Pizza cutter 35" spare - rubber bumpers?

So I went with 35x10.5r17's on my black diamond 7MT. They look a little stuffed. I haven't been able to check clearances yet. Been a busy weekend. I am intending on swapping out the Hitachi coilovers for a set of Bilstein Sasquatch coilovers as soon as they become availibe. I got the tires...
  20. Badlands modular bumper torx bolt size?

I used a T40 to pull the end caps off of my modular bumper. Was a touch loose but nothing I was concerned about I guess...
