@mcinfantry the ride is good. I run the tires pretty low ( upper 20's). I think it handles well for what it is. I do not expect it to be a sports car. The tires at tread surface are only 1/4-1/2" wider than the stock general grabbers. They tuck in pretty nice under the fender.
@Beach_Bum I went with the bilstein sasquatch coilovers. I pulled the both crash bars before I brought it in to get the tires put on. I have not tried to put either back on.
My brake switch was messed up when I picked up the Bronco. Switch fell off, they put it back together then it would get stuck. The switch assembly comes out pretty easily you may be able to put it back together and put the spring back in place. I was able to keep mine while they ordered parts...
High ride is what Ford parts calls the sasquatch and special is the Badlands.
I don't know that we have gotten dimensions on them yet but could you trim off a little from the high-ride bump stop during install or use the special bump stop with the high ride shocks?
It would be good to...
I am also looking at getting this bumper. I do not have the proximity sensors on my Bronco. Does it come with plugs to fill those spots? Anyone know if there options to put LED lights maybe as some "rock lights" or amber marker lights?
@RustysBronco
Here are the part #'s.
Front - MB3Z-18198-C INSULATOR - SHOCK ABSORBER
Rear - MB3Z-5K570-C BUMPER
They were on indefinite BO when I put my Bilstein Coilovers together this fall so I used the stops from the Hitachi's. I have not had an issue yet but have not done any extreme...
If you don't plan on getting a winch. I think the modular bumper is a good deal and functional. If you are looking to add a winch, it makes more since to wait until aftermarket due to the design and winch mount options. I have the modular with my BD and I like it but as I look to add a winch...
@Tricky Nick Its been a while since I did it. I think it was a very light touch with a screw driver until the plastic screw started to move from its base and then I used a small pick tool to help pull on the screw head to keep tension on the threads.
Another proponent of the bag. I bought one of those as well. Gets the job done and tucks in next to the back seat easy enough. It spent most of the time during warm season hanging up in the garage while I ran safari style.
@StalePrinceOfBelAir
I added the sasquatch shocks and springs for my lift. I don't have any pictures on level ground on my phone. Picture 1 is just lift on the rear. Pic 2 is after the fronts were installed. It doesn't look like it in the picture because my driveway slopes but the rake front...
Maybe back spacing is the wrong verbiage. Offset is what I was referring too. I think it is the same for badlands and BD so it may not be an issue. It does change for sasquatch.
@Jed The tire does not stick out past the flare. It is essentially the same width as the stock black diamond tire. Stock tire is a 265 which equals 10.4" wide
Picture in the garage is stock tires. Other picture is with the 35's.
These are 35x10.5 Kendas. Only other concern as you go wider is if you have problems rubbing with the stock backspacing. I know some have done it with minimal rubbing
I had a similar issue with my 2.3L. After hours of interstate driving with the cruise on I would get a "service brake system" message and it traced back to something with the booster. If I continued to drive for long enough when I would go to push the brake pedal, it would push hard the first...
@KnoxGnater I did a 3500 mile trip from Wisconsin to Colorado with 35" Kenda's and the 2.3L. I also got in that 17-18 range cruise set about 80. Highly dependent on wind.
