A few million dollars in warranty costs is almost irrelevant in a multi billion dollar corp.
Beat me to it. I estimated between $12 and $20 million based solely on 3,000 hard tops in the wild.
Had they kept going producing hard tops the recall cost would have been astronomical.
In light of today's news... It's been fun being an 8/30 build week guys. I've resigned myself to getting a new date pushed soonish. I'll see you in the next build week thread :ROFLMAO:
Do you know if it's wide spread or 2? From what I saw in the thread, it's 2 cases. Why would Ford or any company make a public address for what's so far isolated cases? On top of that all he MIC tops are already slated for replacement.
The MIC looking like ass and delaminating is affecting...
Which military do you belong to? Clearly not American. 🤣 My experience is they get transferred and promoted (Army).
My non-mil co-workers are usually mortified when I tell them of the things that go on. Or I was just a magnet for $hit. My wife asked me one time "why are you always on speed...

Every year thousands of rats, mice, and assorted vermin face the harsh reality of a winter without shelter. For the low cost of your Bronco's wiring harness and upholstery you can sponsor a family of rodents and provide them a safe place to...
Isn't that the medical industry currently? I mean people have died in the waiting room after showing up with life threatening conditions.... I mean you can google "died in hospital waiting room" and get a myriad of stories. So if that's our measure, Ford's doing pretty good!
The analog speedometer is one of my biggest pet peeves with the design.

Just why? Why have 2 speedometers? Is it to remind people of their speed blazing through the school zone at 50mph? Just so they can ignore that one as well?
The digital readout can't be changed and is...
A shipping notice is good. It means yours isn't stuck in purgatory. How accurate the estimate is, is another story entirely. Some get it earlier, some get it later than estimated. But it is on the move.
Well it's almost there, if it would ever leaves the factory lot.
Hopefully it ships soonish before it dies. I mean most of us are probably one jackass totaling our car away from being in a crappy spot.
First you can't switch dealers at this point or it's going to be extremely hard with a Vin and scheduled build date. Second, it's not going to change anything because the dealer isn't the one changing dates. Ignoring the 1-2 priority orders dealers got, they have ZERO control over what and when...
@mjopp
Thanks for the timeline! Knowing its about a month from when Ford notifies of shipping from MAP to when it gets to KM, will help with planning my work schedule, availability, and logistics of getting down there when I get to that point.
