  1. Has anybody had issues with their hardtop clicking or making sounds?

Lube the pins and metal locking points with some grease. I have a 21 and used superlube depending on how often you take your top on and off it will last a LONG time. It's been at least 2 years since I last put any grease on the pins since I rarely if ever take the top off.
  2. For those with the manual transmission...

I don't remember anything significant about break in on mine and changing how it felt. Although break in was 4 years ago. Mine's pretty goopy up there as well. Ignore the dog fur, it gets everywhere.
  3. FORD PERFORMANCE TUNE UPDATE 2.3L Manual -- disabled my auto start stop and rev-match

Well this is interesting... I've been meaning to call FP about my tune because it reprogrammed my DTE to calculate as if I had a 2 door 16 gallon tank and I've put it off because it's a pretty minor annoyance. I'm glad I found this thread before calling for an updated tune. I'd be pissed if I...
  4. Manny tranny owners, would you do it again?

Manual should be the only transmission option... I live with Southern CA traffic and still love it. My hope is when I'm ready to let go in 2030 there will be one more chance for another manual.
  5. Rules are rules

I also make sure to park next to Bronco Sports.... to assert dominance among the herd.
  6. NEW Wildtrak, 6.7 miles, check engine light on

Piggybacking on the possible wiring problem, OP did you or your buddy look under the hood for possible rodent damage to the harness?
  7. Dead Battery! Need electrical advice...

Expanding on this, the LED light for the under dash switch also draws like a 150mA.
  8. Hard top tapping / popping sound

If you're sure it's the hard top popping try a little lube. I just lubed the pins and metal to metal latch points with some super-lube grease. Doesn't take much just a apply with a q-tip and the popping went away. It's been pop free since Nov 2021.
  9. Seatbelt Delete

Just put the latch plate in the buckle after snipping and done
  10. Anyone looking for a BRaptor?

While I love my Bronco, I'm not sure if I'd buy mine at today's prices. The I just did a build and price for giggles and the MSRP is $3k+ over what I paid for mine with tax, title, and a 5 year service plan.
  11. R.I.P. Raptor - 12/2022-9/2023

This is the way... just ask Tacoma owners about their lower ball joints 🤣
  12. What's your MPG?

I'm down to averaging 17.5 mpg and the primary reason is my commute changed from 40-60 city/highway to all city. Previously was around 18.5mpg with that mix. When it gets the chance to stretch it's legs on the highway it will average 20-21 mpg depending on terrain and conditions. Worst I've...
  13. Bout had it with Ford

Toyota is not immune to problems, it's luck of the draw. Between an 04 & 19 Siennas and an 05 Tacoma over than last 20 years we've had... Failed power door latch (04 Sienna)that ended up destroying the door ($2500 out of pocket). Toyota later recalled it but would only reimbursed the cost of...
  14. [Poll] How stupid am I for clinging on to hope of a future 2.7 V6 / 7MT Bronco?

And? What does the adding port injection have to do with the manual transmission? The take rate was a little less than 1 in 10 for the Ecoboost Mustang.
  15. Bronco and the F-150 electronic E brake recall

If I remember right they were leaving it in 3rd or worse 4th. If anyone is leaving it in any gear higher than 1st, you're wrong. If you're really worried park in C, that provides the most mechanical advantage against rolling. For it to roll 1 mph in C it needs to get that engine spinning like...
  16. T-Boned this morning. Sigh......

Honestly for getting broadsided the Bronco held up amazingly well. The second amazing thing is the $16k estimate. My fender bender T-Bone was $3k and there was no body damage, just a wheel/tire and touchup to the Rockslide step slider.
  17. Performance tuner install questions

Once it's uploaded you can disconnect the Procal tool. While it does come with a mount, really the only thing it offers being connected is additional gauge data readouts like temps etc.
  18. [Poll] How stupid am I for clinging on to hope of a future 2.7 V6 / 7MT Bronco?

2024 Mustang 2.3L has DI & PI. It's only a matter of time before it trickles over to the Ranger and Bronco 2.3s.
  19. Post your 2.3L Bronco Ford Performance Calibration Tune review

Nope, I'm one of those whose 4 door identifies as a 2 door. I get around 290-300 miles on the DTE display on fill up and napkin math says 18 mpg x 16 gal = 288 miles, it used to be 370ish miles. Still haven't got around to calling Ford Racing tech to see if the programming associated with my vin...
  20. General Opinion: Manual Transmission (Update)

Sept 21 build, I have some noise when cold and driving 5-10 mph. Everything needs to be turned off to hear it though. If I have the a/c or radio on, you can't hear it. Other than that the overall 7 speed experience is awesome. Especially if you throw the B&M sport shifter on it.
