  1. Ford Performance DIff Cover paint chipping

Looking at the chipped paint, the metal underneath appeared rusty- like no primer was used before they applied the paint. I sanded the rusted areas before I applied the touch up paint.
  2. V-6 Manual Transmission

I suspect too much torque in the V6 and the current 7 speed manual transmission is not strong enough.
  3. Ford Performance DIff Cover paint chipping

Yes, I had paint chip away the day I installed it- around some of the bolt holes. I touched it up with paint that I had at the house that was almost a perfect color match. I used a small brush around the bolts. I was not too happy about the paint chipping. I have not had any more chips occur...
  4. Changes to the 2025 Ford Bronco You May Not Know About

I keep it out of boost, drive 45-55 MPH on back roads using CC and accelerate slowly to get this kind of MPG.
  5. My 2024 Big Bend 2 door Sasquatch so far

Nice! Love the Big Bend, now the base model. I love the clean look without running boards. Mine is similar- also a 2 door, base Sas, no running boards ever and has the Rock Rails installed.
  6. Changes to the 2025 Ford Bronco You May Not Know About

Although I won't ever be able to afford another Bronco in this life, if they do put a bigger tank in, the tiny gas tank in the 2 door currently is so irritating. When I use it to commute for my work, which is seldom, I have to gas it up 3X a week. I don't get that bad a mileage- over 22 but...
  7. Checked out a 2025

I wish they had a base, bare bones, no tech, roll down windows, no phone connect, base radio or radio delete, manual transmission, dial speedometer and with a 5.0 V8 please. And for 40K. I'd rush and buy or reserve one right now. I love driving and 4 wheeling just like I did back in the 70's...
  8. Aftermarket exhaust - what brand holds up best to road salt used in winter?

Whatever your get, be sure to get SST. Aluminized won't last long in the salt. With that being said I got the MBRP dual CAT back but aluminized- I live in FL. Hopefully I will get good life out of it, no road salt. It is reasonably priced in aluminized but very pricy in SST.
  9. Dead battery. What’s a good aftermarket replacement battery?

I just brought my Bronco into the dealer to have the battery checked- thought maybe I would get a new one. My start/stop no longer works, figured the battery was getting weak. It's going on 35 months. Nope, they tested it said it was at 75% charge, all cells good and won't replace it. Gonna...
  10. 2DR -> 4DR -> 2DR

I completely understand..............Love my 2022 2 Door Sas, had it 3 years, will keep it forever. And I typically change vehicles a LOT. Nice rig- I love the yellow color and white top.
  11. Is my Bronco officially rare?

I don't consider my 2022 Base 2 door Sasquatch with 2.7 V6 "rare" but it is not that common either. Mine is white and with black trim, including all black front grill. I added the Rock rails and without the common running boards certainly looks very unique. It also has the Sasquatch badge on...
  12. Interesting dealer interaction

I just did my fluids and used the FP cover. It was pretty straight forward. I would never have considered the dealer or quick lube doing this. Mainly cost. It was expensive enough buying the cover and the fluids. It did take me a little extra time as I wanted to use the factory gasket- I...
  13. Ford Performance Method 703 Wheels Weight = 28.4 lbs

Wow, they look amazing! The weight savings over the stock Sas wheels is huge. Must be nice coupled with the stock Good Years- which are about the lightest tire available for the Bronco. Increase in performance to keep up with the lead footed drivers around here and maybe increase in MPG...
  14. First fun vehicle

Driving the Bronco back in the 80's it was a super fun vehicle. Gas or gas mileage was never an issue or even talked about back then. The gas gage in mine did not even work- I would just gas up after 100 miles or so and pull a few bucks out of my wallet. I made so much more money back then...
  15. Best MPG you have reached

I average a decent 22.8 in my 2 door 2.7 Sas. I drive with a very light foot to achieve that. No more than 70 MPH on the interstate, AC off most of the time. Regular 87 octane.
  16. Flex Seal the MIC

Use 303 protectant. Works great on the MIC top. I do it every 3 months or so.
  17. No EV Bronco anytime soon?

I have 3 fully insured and my wife has 1. Hers is an older truck and reasonable. My two are newer and the Bronco is the lower of the two. The third is a classic truck only 375 a year. Clean driving record- I drive slow- "only" 8 MPH over the speed limit and everyone and their brother sister...
  18. OEM Battery Life - How Many Years?

Thanks, have both near me. Good point on the warranty as well. I got a recall for the rear shocks but not sure they have them in stock yet. Could bring it in for that and tell them the ASS stopped working...........
  19. OEM Battery Life - How Many Years?

I'm at 35 months and 14K miles on the original battery. The Bronco sits a lot in the garage, not outside in the hot sun- I live in FL. It gets few long drives to work in between short runs. It seems to start fine, not turning over slow, etc. I am worried about it dying though as my ASS has...
  20. New Owner - Exhaust Option?

Ah, no, missed that part.........I have just a standard Bronco.
