My TJ's tailgates did not have a damper of any kind. The gates swung open freely and a stop was built in the hinge. I never had any problems and ran 31 X 10.50 15 larger than stock tires on them, including the spare. I had to put spacers under the hard rubber stops that support the spare tire...
Mine is definitely not easy to open- the shock damper is pretty strong. I too feel the stud mount of the damper on the tailgate is mounted on thin material and subject to deformation. Mine makes a ticking noise too when it opens. I open it slowly and carefully as a result. I thought about...
For those of you who have had good prices form a Ford dealership, I am surprised. I always have found dealerships to be the most expensive- and by a huge margin. Perhaps it's where I live. I recently had points to use so I thought I would buy a new drain plug for the Bronco and use the $10.00...
I use Rock Auto as well for maintaining all 4 of my vehicles, including restoration of my 87 Chevy Squarebody Pick Up. Super fast delivery and excellent communication when order is received, shipped and delivered. I even got a great set of wiper blades for by Bronco for like $6.00. I have so...
I got a lot of comments/compliments on my Sas 2 door the first year I had it in 2022. Now it seems there are so many out there it's just another vehicle in the mix of so many Broncos out there. But I don't see many 2 doors in my area........
I drive with my back window open all the time with the front windows at least partly down- but with a Bungee cord securing it against the spare. I saw a post from someone else on this forum for the idea and it works perfectly. I drive like this around town and up to 58 MPH on the back roads...
Does anyone make a cover for the 2 door that will fit over the hard top? (And not the entire Bronco). I live in So Fl with brutal hot sun and worry about it fading the hard top real fast. (My Bronco is white so the rest of it reflects the sun). I keep it garaged most of the time although in...
My bolts started rusting pretty quick too in the FL humidity. They were only black oxided and I installed them that way. I should have painted them first. For now what I am doing is spraying them with T9 Boshield- a product used more in the marine industry. Stuff work great- it removes and...
I'd keep the Shelby. You will miss it, the high revving engine, the sound, acceleration rush, rowing the gears, assuming it is a manual. I still miss my 2018 Mustang base GT and it is no where near a Shelby.
My wife and I must like 2 door vehicles. We have the 2 door Bronco and 2 regular cab 2 door pick ups- hers a 2013 Silverado 2WD, mine a 1987 Chevy Squarebody 4 wheel drive. When they are in the garage together side by side it must look so radically different than most peoples garages that have...
My 2022 2 Door Sas with 2.7 is irreplaceable too- especially at 38K price. If something happens to it, hope it doesn't- I will replace it with a mid size pick up- Colorado or Ranger 4 X 4. And even then it's going to be way more expensive that what I paid for my 2022. I really need a pick up...
Interesting although they seem to look normal to me. Plugs do look like a nightmare to get to. Did a lot of stuff have to come off to access them? I was not planning on plugs for very many miles.
I have both and prefer the 303. I use it on all black trim on the Bronco- fender flares, front fascia, rear bumper and the top. So far so good in the super hot FL sun. But the Bronco is parked int he shade whenever possible and garaged too. I apply it every couple of months.
I have used them and they work great. Had tire shops say I needed a new tire just to get the business. I put plugs in and re-inflate, never once had a problem. Saved hundreds of dollars. Just can't use them in the sidewall.
Both engines are complicated and not inviting to do your own work on them. Powerwise I'd opt for the 2.7 V6, which is what I have. More torque down low, more power overall and about the same if not better gas mileage. I'd especially opt for the 2.7 if you are getting automatic transmission.
Looking at it from the front- the wide stance, wide tires and black grille against the white paint. Mine is a base Sas so it has the plain black grill.
If any parts are not made in the US that will affect the vehicle price too, it's not just the final assembly plant. The metals used also if they are from overseas will affect price too. Some vehicles will be affected more than others. It will be interesting to see how the automakers apply...
We were going to upgrade our Colorado pick up with a more powerful new pick up- Ford F150 or Chevy Silverado so we can travel and tow a small trailer. Plans are completely nixed now. No travel and the Bronco and Colorado both stay. Will find things to do and fishing holes local in my retirement.
I thought most would be 4 door models. And most well loaded up. More loaded, more profit for dealers and Ford. I have always preferred base models for almost every vehicle I have ever owned. Base have always been hard to find. Manufacturers need to make more base vehicles- especially as...
