If only this had been the "factory" soft top option... If I ever do get a Bronco, this would be one of my first major modifications. I just hate that I'll be stuck trying to hawk the factory soft top. Ha.
I'll hit my two year anniversary in a week or so. I've done a pretty good job of "accepting" the situation, not "blaming" anyone, etc, pretty much this whole time. But recently I've begun to acknowledge that the fates of universe are sending me a pretty clear message that a Bronco just isn't in...
I had this same thought initially. I was wondering if maybe they're just doing the "jeep wave" and it appears like a flip-off to the uninitiated.
I have to admit... one of things on my "cons" list of getting a Bronco would be losing out on the Jeep wave. I've gotten so used to doing it... I'm...
I'm currently a Jeep driver. When I see a Bronco out on the road, I typically gawk awkwardly and then follow them uncomfortably close so I can check out their ride until we veer off in different directions.
I would imagine the average Bronco driver finds that way more annoying than getting...
I figure ICE vehicles will be regulated out sooner than later, and gas prices will only continue to rise indefinitely. So my plan is to enjoy the Bronco as much as I can (afford) for as long as I can. Then when I'm forced into an autonomous driving electric car, I'll just have to live with the...
Dang, we were just out at Uwharrie on Friday. I should have come a day later and checked out all the Broncos!
And yeah... funny thing about Uwharrie is, when it's nice and dry out... you can do 90% of the trails in pretty much any stock SUV. But if a rain drop falls... the difficulty triples.
1986 Nissan "Hardbody" D21 (still have it!)
1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ
2005 Jeep Wrangler LJ
2016 Jeep Wrangler JKU
Honorable mention:
2013 Subaru Crosstrek (Not a 4x4, but it was a heck of little car. I spent more time trailriding, camping and exploring in that little Subie than I have in any of...
We're probably a little off-topic here, but during my nearly two-year-long wait, I've gone up and down in my "enthusiasm" several times. There have been periods where I completely gave up and couldn't have cared less about ever getting the Bronco. But then something happens, my interest comes...
Having spent two years obsessing over the Bronco and trying to rationalize my own "need" for it, what I've settled on is that the Bronco is ideal for "beach" people. I'm more of a mountain person. I have a JKU and it's honestly pretty much perfect. I just want the Bronco because it's new and...
Well, for more context... I originally ordered a 2 Dr Badlands. Then relatively recently I changed my order to a 4dr Big Bend. I didn't do that to try to get built sooner; I just finally had a chance to see a 2dr in real life and realized it's probably too small on cargo space for my needs. And...
I reserved 7/23/20. First ordered March 2021, I think. Then again in Oct 2021 for a MY22. I imagine some time in Oct/Nov I'll be prompted to update my order for MY23...
Fitting comfortably in vehicles is such a complicated thing for us big folks. I'm 6'6". I've never sat in a 2dr, but I fit very comfortably in a 4dr.
The funny thing with saying "I'm X'X" tall and I fit or don't fit" is that height is only one factor. Weight matters a lot, as do overall...
I'm in the camp that thinks the slantback on the Bestop looks fantastic. The profile is soooo much better than with the factory top, especially on trims/builds with smaller tires. I probably won't go bigger than 33s, and I think that rear slant somehow balances out the overall proportion of the...
For you guys who are feeling despair, hang in there. A few months ago I lost interest and kind of "gave up". Figured if my Bronco ever got built, I'd decide then if I still wanted it or not. Then in the last few weeks, the excitement has come back around. Now I'm all jazzed up about it again and...
That's perfect. Thanks. I have Bartacts in one of my Wranglers and love them. They fit really nicely and have held up really well over time. I was just curious what the overall fit/pattern looked like for the Bronco. Giving me the front-and-back views was exactly what I was hoping for. Much...
Ha, you guys must be my kindred spirits. I currently have a two door wrangler and a four door wrangler... and a truck... and a couple other cars... and I'm over here obsessing over whether I should get the two or four door Bronco. lol.
Did you just get the fronts? Or did you add the rears as well? Any chance you have more pics?
I love Bartacts in my Jeep and am considering getting them for the Bronco if I switch to Big Bend.
Thanks!
Appreciate the detailed thoughts here. When I was younger, I was all about "packing light" and "roughing it". But as I've aged... I have to admit, I'm starting to enjoy bringing more creature-comforts with me. And, more importantly, bringing all those random knick-knacks that we stop and...
I don't have any insider knowledge, but zero chance they get all current orders built before the 2023 switchover.
I'm sure MANY of us with existing orders from early reservations (July 2020, here) will end up getting pushed to next year.
