White Rim is freaking huge. I spent ~9 hours on it (including driving, getting out and walking, to certain vantages, pictures, etc) and only went about 1/2 the distance, turned around after scaling Murphy's Hogback, and went back.
It's such an awesome trail, knowing what I know now, I'd allot...
I just spent 2,600 miles around Utah, AZ, and NM in a 2021 4-door Rubicon with the 2.0 turbo, and I was really impressed with the mileage. I was consistently getting 22-23 on the highway, which coupled with the ~21 gallon fuel tank gives it really good range.
I was hoping 2.3 Broncos would be...
I'm just going to be following people's personal experiences these and other bumpers (my favorite being the ARB).
It really seems to be a shame that mounting high interferes with the front camera, while mounting lower has the potential to disrupt intercooler airflow.
Anything with a Black Diamond's approach/departure/breakover angles, skidplates, rock sliders, OEM tires, crawl ratio, and rear locker will get you into and out of situations that 90%+ of owners will be too scared to even attempt.
People in general are way too anxious on this forum, with...
Good intel.
If that 133lbs includes a Samsquanch 35 or Badlands 33, that certainly isn't leaving a ton of overhead for adding more. A full jerry can has got to be ~45 pounds.
It's not like Ford enjoys declining money from willing enthusiasts.
If they're not offering it, it's because people who are smarter than you have determined it's not a viable/reliable combo. If that's the case, we really don't want it.
People saying the 2.3 is slow in any trim are trying to impress you with how fast their previous vehicles are/were.
It's a phenomenon that Matt Farrah first identified years ago- Internet/Youtube comment horsepower versus horsepower in the real world.
I'm relocating mine to the trash, but it's really nice to know that it peels off easily, and won't require 10oz of Goo Gone and an hour worth of elbow grease to get rid of remnant adhesives (like a lot of debadging).
I'm somewhere between 50 and 75, and if the February-March allocation numbers roll out and it's looking unlikely or even dubious that I'll have a Bronco for the summer, Granger is getting me a 2-door Rubicon.
So there's one at least.
Even though it sounds crazy, keep in mind that this is an *extremely* hot vehicle right now.
The usual dealer protocol of 'taking a deposit as earnest money to reduce the chances they're left with an idiotic custom build on the lot that they can't sell' doesn't really apply.
The dealer doesn't...
When I switched dealers, my original $100 was refunded, and dealer #2 never took another $100.
It's not a big deal either way. The $100, if collected at the time of the reservation, is deducted from the final OTD price.
