I have already considered the trip because after being locked up all fo 2020 with COVID restrictions, it's the car pick up road trip so crazy it just might work.
Fly into Yeager, get picked up by the folks at @StephensAutoCenter. Get your Bronco, head back in to Charleston to check it out...
Lol I'm actually considering base 2dr v6 squatch with aux switches and nothing else. I'm in Miami and not sold on the vinyl staying comfortable in heat. Everything else that's substantive can be done aftermarket over time.
Won't be deciding until B&P is out. Basesquatch 7mt possible. Let's see how bad I want that v6 once pricing is out and how many gizmos i can live without.
I'm 6'3" also. My sister's bf has a stick shift wrangler. Can't drive it. No enough legroom to work the clutch without hitting the wheel.
I drive a Civic Si coupe right now. You'd think it's smaller, but it has way more legroom. Cars are weird like that. I'm ok with tht Bronco mainly because...
I never understood the cost of the sasquatch to include the mandatory auto. I.e., with those numbers, base manual to auto sasquatch 2.3 would be 2k + 4.5k = 6.5k.
I also don't see how the sasquatch can't get cheaper on higher trims. E.g., why would you pay the same for the package that...
Depends on how savings and timeline are looking at ordering time. I don't want to get into a massive payment or still be making payments when the car is out of warranty, so I'm limiting myself to financing 25k. If I can afford the comforts, sasquatch, and v6, then maybe I skip mansquatch. But...
It's possible and I plan on investigating it, but I expect to come out losing there.
Another wrinkle is no dealerships in South FL are stepping up with pricing to match @StephensAutoCenter and @Granger Ford, so I am strongly considering switching, flying one-way, and making a road trip out of...
July 2022 fulfillment seems like a stretch on a Dec. 2020 order. I'm sure the dealer will allow me to extend, but what happens when you need to terminate the extension early?
I've got a lease expiring at the beginning of July 2021. It lines up somewhat nicely for getting the new Bronco. Anyone have any idea when we might get a better idea of when our orders will be fulfilled?
It would be nice to not have to finance the leased car unnecessarily if it can be timed...
There are definitely textured options. Can't recall the name of the vendor we used off the top of my head, but we had a sample booklet with color and finish varieties. Easily 30+ in there. There were smooth fort colors, textured grainy ones, and ones that had a kind of marbles look to them.
On a boat, sure. The panels come off easily and can be replaced. A car seat is different and I imagine your average ford dealership doesn't have upholsters on staff.
I worked for a manufacturer, and if boats would come in for service we could call the local upholsterer (this guy does upholstery...
I live in Miami. I used to run the marketing department for a luxury center console boat company, so I had the chance to spend a lot of days on boats with marine vinyl seats for photo shoots and see lots of samples of different promo models. Never seen it in a car. Here's what I can offer:
- It...
