I have installed:
Aluminum Belly skid with UHMW
Sliders with UHMW
Shock skids
Rear diff skid/spacer
I left NVM shop on Monday and went directly to Hurricane...
Haven't driven my FE in about 7 weeks. Today I noticed that with the HVAC I dual or single mode that the drivers side blows ice cold- passenger side no matter what I do blows super hot...
any ideas?
Don't know why they would need a 6.8 and a 7.3 gas. Seems redundant. The 6.2 only seemed to make sense as a fleet cheap option. I have the 7.3 and am happy with it, it idles a bit rough but has plenty of power.
Thankfully I don't pay for the gas. 13.1mpg over the last 25k miles
I still think it's possible and I am going to try. I don't have my FE in front of me, but I will in another 3 weeks. It makes no sense that they wouldn't.
If everything looks good, I might try them Bilstein 6100s
(Ignore the Monroe struts, those are for another project
Ignore the Monroe...
For sure, our F150s get delivered with SL passenger rated tires, they get swapped out for E rated tires (we travel a lot off road/rocky trails)....
I tried E rated tires on my FJ cruiser, it was like a skateboard. I am reluctant to try Es on my Bronco
Thats probably load range E tires, C rated tires tend to be less expensive.
I have 10 trucks at work and 3 personal vehicles.. Tires have gone up what feels like 50% in the last couple of years.
Ambient temperature and acceptable voltage drop affect wire gauge selection dramatically. Temp goes up, resistance goes up. Critical items (PCM, computers etc) require significantly less voltage drop than motors.
Front mounted winch- 2 gauge is probably OK. (even the 16.5Ti comes with 2...
We have owned a 2007 (delivered in March 2006 day one) FJ Cruioser since new and have both a 21 FE and a 21 Badlands both 4dr.
FJ Cruiser repairs- alternator and one wheel bearing. 155k miles. Mileage and range suck. Visibility sucks. All the switchgear works as new. All the electrical...
I disagree with a lot of what Kevin said. Still like their content, watch all their videos. I understand it's a business and I applaud them for that. They have a great gig doing what they like.
I honestly get the impression that Brittany is the brains of the operation. Not a dumb blonde...
and they have already sold the Bronco... and the video where they were showing the bumpers, Kevin was obviously down on the Bronco hard.
I actually like their content and watch almost all their videos. I just think they were predetermined to dump the Bronco and find reasons why.
Customer service. I have a great experience with NVM. No affiliation, didn't know me, don't live in their area. I have their sliders, full belly skid with UHMW, diff and and rear shock guards.
I had an issue (likely operator error). No questions asked and they are taking care of it...
