Similar issue happen to me. Emailed Ford Performance, they got back to me the next day....
What was explained was one of the software patches/ updates to the procal created an error.
Fix one thing break another.
One of the engineering teams members gave me a call, had me hook up the ProCal to a...
If you're tapping into the trailer wiring for lights. It thinks those lights are the trailer.
Specifically, what wires did you use / what wires are connected to what?
Module will give you your turn signal and your brake lights, etc.
If you don't change additional settings, The Bronco doesn't actually know you have a trailer attached. The blind spot will not be disabled, sway control will not necessarily be enabled, same with sway control.
Is sway control...
Unable to determine based on I don't know how the module came programmed in.
Did you use the kit?
Keep in mind when I wrote this originally there was not factory kit .
You could try to dummy out or attach a trailer to confirm that blindspot has been disabled or knowledge a trailer has...
That is literally what I was looking for!
I assume the mats would be used.
360 cameras that got right now are slightly off.
I never tried to recalibrate them in FDRS, as I did not have the mats. (Again, I just assumed they were used)
Thanks again!
I guess what I am looking for is the shop's instructions on this.
It's been a few months since I took of the tire carrier. I can't remember how the camera is attached to it. (I am assuming they would need to take if off to access the camara from behind)
If the camera is replaced, do they have...
Does anyone have Ford's documentation on the steps for this recall.
I'm curious with the shop documentation/PDF is for the recall.
Any help or information would be appreciated.
I would not change the entire line...
Send me a PM with what you have, or p.m. your vin, can look up your asbuild.
I'll get you back this afternoon/evening when I get home.
I'd like to know how to enable this ( ie though app)
Even enabling towbar via FDRS. I still never have the light check enabled in sync.
I can turn it on via Forscan.
But it never worked, I got the same error as you.
Any insights /tips would be helpful.
Look at prior page for confirmation.
In order for it to light up it needs to see a load, 5 to 26 watts.
Good old- fashion trailer lamp will do this.
An LED tester will not have enough load / resistance.
It's in the apim easy mode (Forscan) label trailer lamp check I believe, or something very similar.
At least for me. If I enable I have the option, but actually doesn't work, and gives an error message right away.
It is not enabled on factory or via FDRS.
You have a hitch without out any electrical connections at it (4 or 4/7 pin) correct?
The lumen kit is what you need.
It has the wiring and trailer tow module ( this is what makes the trailer light) and the connector
The brake controller is a separate item that plugs in under driver side...
the brake controller is total's separate from the trailer module. If you had all wiring complete, but no trailer module installed, You could have reverse lights and the trailer Eletric brake signal.(not that would mean much)
The trailer module contains the relay for aux battery power. It also...
Understand, I don't know if you have auxiliary switches but auxiliary switch is already ran back there too, a relays easy to add,
Just offering. I don't know what you're trying to do.
Just stating that there's two power sources already ran, and fused.
Well, if you don't have a tow package, you should have two wires back there as I mentioned already that are always hot.
Those wires would be used with a tow package.
I'm not looking it up wiring diagram right now but they're blue wires.
Blue with a red or brown stripe
The other one should solid...
