Perhaps Ford has reserved all of the 2nd Gen Mic's for the dirt mountain gang first and for those that were delivered second. Then while those are in process of being replaced Ford has decided to fire up the line for new builds with the tops that came off AFTER the first and second priorities...
I wonder if they are pulling them in an order that makes sense based upon their final destinations. Wouldn't make sense to pull them FIFO or some other way and then have to stage them for a while again until they get enough to fill transport trucks to similar destinations. Pull all the ones...
Mine was as well. Someone had split the stickers, pulled it out, fiddled with the drawstring/hammock and put it back. The card wasn't in there. Guess they wanted to know what it was. I think I'll wash it before using it.
The plant had to run, the workers had to work and the best way for Ford to see their way through this was to build them using the old tops. We may not like it but if you look at it objectively it does make the most sense.
$695 is not the cost. Originally your bronco (unless you're 2 door or WT) has the soft top built into the pricing. If you ADD the MIC then it ADDS $695 which is the difference. Speculation is that it's closer to $3k plus shipping will be $$$.
I wonder why manufacturers don't allow for a GPS set speedo option in addition to the standard? That way when you make changes you're good to go. GPS limitations most likely?
That was how it was when we got ours. I wanted a sunroof and the Off Road trim. None in St. Louis and it was a fight to get one that was scheduled to come across the sea. Eventually I gave up after a couple of months when they made me the right deal on one without.
Great chance that user is one of a ton of employees paid to just monitor sites like this to flag anything important to pass up the chain. Ford isn't likely to use that or any other handle on a site like this as an official problem solving channel. Flag them for things that need their attention...
