Bronco is a $40k truck. It’s worth $40k. There are design flaws, cheap plastics, etc, that are appropriate in that price range.
I paid $55k for my Lux/Leather Wildtrak. Honestly, for $55k I feel like I could have done better considering what i got.
With a raptor clocking in at $100k, that’s...
I lathered the inside of my tailgate with white lithium grease. That 100% fixed the nasty rattle mine had. I’d like to get it actually fixed, but I doubt they will do it since the lithium grease has covered it up so well.
Uhmm, you can tell exactly what average repair costs will be over 5 years/75k miles. Ford ESP is ~$1000. Do you really think they just make up the price of those things?
Either way, repairs are DWARFED by the cost of depreciation, fuel and maintenance. It is pretty much a rounding error.
It’s been out closer to 3 now. And they can take projections based on recommended maintenance, fuel costs, insurance costs and current depreciation. Is this that hard to understand?
40 PSI is crazy high for a 12.5” wide tire. On my BFG KM2s on my Rubicon I ran 28 PSI and it passed the chalk test just fine. I run 32 in my Sasquatch Bronco and I think that is on the high end of what I should be running.
I saw the MGV in person and thought it was super thin. I cannot imagine what my dogs toe nails would do to it! Anyhow, it’s definitely not heavy duty looking and not breathable. I went with leather and am very glad I did.
My 2022 Wildtrak is already like $6k more for a comparable 2023 than my protected price was for it. I also got mine at invoice so I ended up paying about $54k for a 4 door Wildtrak with Lux and Leather. It already seems like a steal lol.
You are missing out on suspension, lockers, larger axles, advanced transfer case, warranty, gearing and resale value. It’s honestly a dumb move to not buy the Sasquatch, even if you do end up swapping wheels.
In three years this Bronco will be on auto trader and the listing will read “ultra clean Bronco only driven to church on Sunday. Basically new still.”
