A 2lb mallet is your friend  . Actually most will fit. I use infinity reference 4 Inch. The crutchfield website will tell you that they do not fit, but it states that for any speaker that does not have "break off" tabs. Snips work just fine. Also your probably going to want bass...
Yes, and it's not that much more difficult.
Pull 2 properly fused and sized cables from the battery thru the grommet. One (the smaller one) will go under the steering wheel, the other one lay it under the sill plate or the back plate until you a ready to use it. DON'T HOOK THE ONE THAT IS...
I'm running a kicker key 200.4, 4 inch infinity reference in the dash w/ 300 hz bass blockers. I had 600 hz and they seemed to much. 300 on the 4 inch speakers and the kicker is set to filter @ 80 hz. The rears are 6.5 JBL and the kick panels are Rockford Fosgate 6.5 inch prime components...
Thanks for figuring this out. A few months ago, my Bronco was tapped heading to a trail (by a friend no less :(). I'm guessing this is because of the body shop tech that was repairing it. They had to disassemble and repaint the tailgate
I figured it was a part. I thought it was the clip that when properly inserted it eliminated cracks in the mic top, stopped the tie rods & steering rack from breaking and added 32 horsepower.
While taking the back of the Broco apart to install a subwoofer, I came across this under the floor. Anyone have an idea as to what this is or where it goes? (obviously it can't be too important), just wondering.
It's stamped M2DB-S431G01-AC but the ford part number lookup and google can't seem...
They say the same thing about Infinity 4" reference. With the Infinity I had to cut 2 tabs and they fit just fine. I think they say that for any speaker that does NOT have the "bend & break off" tabs. I used some snips, worked fine. I'd also recommend 300hz bass blockers for the 4" spaekers.
I have a 23 that had an auto dim mirror. I purchased a homelink dimming mirror and the people that sold me the mirror made me a harness with an extra hot and ground. YOU WILL NEED A STEP DOWN DONGLE 12v to 5v for the dashcam (or at least I did). Other than that works perfectly on my 23...
I was at DT 3 weeks ago for a screw in the tread. Went out to check on the bronco and noticed they had removed the trim rings for that wheel. I asked him why, and his answers was "didn't want to take a chance on scratching them".
I am coming from a Rubicon X, where I had 2 sets of "cheap" 6 led 3 inch cubes installed on the front bumper and bull bar. When I did this I cut off the relay and switch in the light kit and used one of the Jeep's 4 aux switches (the low amperage ones (15 amps)) to power each set of lights...
The subwoofer is in and working. The only thing left to do is a little more dynmatting (on the floor and the passenger rear trim panel.
First and foremost I MUST say a BIG THANK YOU to all that contributed to these threads. This forum made it possible for me to do all the work myself. While...
Same basic concept. Had 315/70 KO2's on my Rubicon X, and they were very good (on and off road). That said it does not rain much in Phoenix. Also, had 4.56 gears and I could spin them if I wanted / tried to.
If you remove that sensor, when you replug it in it will trip a "boatload" of codes including a CEL. Mine was falling out, and the dealership removed it to order a new one, then they plugged it back in. I barely made it off the lot when I noticed the CEL. Took it back and they said they...
Side note with this project:
Today I changed the bass blockers from 600hz to 300hz on the Infinity Reference 4" dash speakers. This made a noticeable difference. Also, the Key200.4 is set to filter @ 80hz. Reran the Key setup and this thing sounds pretty darn decent.
So far I'm using a pair...
