My neighbor ordered an Explorer. His Grand Cherokee lease was up so the dealer put him in an Explorer loaner until his order comes in. That was in January. He still has the loaner.
According to AN's Mike Martinez, dealers may not get new inventory until August. The chip shortage continues to get worse for Ford. This doesn't bode well for anyone, especially dealer salespeople.

I keep trying to talk myself into buying something cheaper or different. However, I like simple solutions that work. Iāll even pay more for them. The only thing I dislike is that I wonāt be able to have my dog jump in the rear with the Pakmule on the Bronco and filled with gear.
Unlike the Super Duty or Ranger, the F150 Tremor is its own trim. It's not a subtrim add on. It is the 400 level trim series. Between XLT (300) and Lariat (500). I think FX4 was the 400 level trim at one point.
The only reason why I wouldn't buy a Pakmule is because I would but the Yakima swing away. It seems like that would be a better set up with a 2 door and a dog. However, The Pakmule is such a well made piece of kit. It will last for a long time, and if you don't want it anymore, you can sell it...
Itās the Yakima Exo Swing base with the gear locker and gear basket. It seems to be a great system. It swings out of the way and itās stackable. It is pretty expensive though. I keep kicking it around.

Iām probably going to buy the Pakmule Swayback. Itās TIG welded in the US and is super solid.
Yakima has a new swing away hitch system called Exo. It looks really cool and Iām intrigued. Itās certainly more prone to failure than the Pakmule though.
