It can't be everyone's only vehicle right now. I could not have an EV as my only vehicle. The charging network is not robust enough, and vehicles don't charge fast enough based on some of my drives. A Tesla may work, because of the supercharger network, but their manufacturing processes are garbage.
If you put your Lightning reservation in today, you probably won't get your truck until 2023. Maybe 2024. The reservations exceed their yearly production rate. The amount of reservations doesn't even include fleet orders, which could be significant and take precedent over retail orders.

Lol. I had a first week back from 4th of July vacation vehicle built at MAP. The doors were misaligned but everything else was fine. Had the vehicle for 7 years. The good news with the Bronco is that you can take the doors right off.
I’ve never exceeded EPA in a Ford Ecoboost engine with an automatic transmission. I came close in my MkT with the 3.5TT. Funny enough that got better fuel economy than the MKC 2.3 we had for awhile.
I am well aware of how to get efficiency from an engine. I’m not hard on my Ranger but it’s...
Ford spends more on the F-150/SuperDuty than any other product. The Bronco is very important to Ford, but it is not their most important vehicle. It is their most profitable vehicle and it isn’t close.
Yes, the Bronco has the mpg it does because owners don’t care and they want to be able to...
BFG makes the KO2 in that size. That is probably what I will buy.
Edit: that is 265/75R16. No one makes 275/75/16. You have to get 265 or 285.
I am also looking at BFG KM3s at 255/85/16s
It's shaped like a brick. Ford spends way more time. effort, and money on the F150. The 2.7TT F150 gets better real world fuel economy than the Ranger.
No. It is not. Ford EcoBoost products tend to not meet their official MPG. I expect every Bronco to have real world fuel economy below the 18.7 MPG real world fuel economy of my Ranger.
Maybe the 2.3T 7 speed will beat the 18.7. That's the only exception.
I think it’s possible with the manual. With the automatic, much less likely. I get 18.7 in my Ranger. I’d expect 15-16.5 on a 4-door auto Bronco. I think I’ll be able to beat my 18.7 with a 2-door 7-speed.
I'm big mad about my poor choice. It really would have just cost me the monthly payment. I could have gotten my money back and then some whenever I felt like it. Still so mad at myself.
I'm so smitten with the GT350 that I'd rather throw cash at one of those and drive it for 10 years then try to build a GT up. I should have bought one last year. Prices have gone crazy. Terminator prices are nuts too. Heck, I'm seeing 4th Gen Mach 1s with low miles go for over $30k. Which is...
Isn't the current Mustang GT faster than the Terminator? That being said, you can throw way more power (reliably) on the Terminator block and Tremec than you can on the 5.0L and MT82.
I've driven the Terminator, current Mustang GT, Mustang GT350, and current Mustang Mach 1. I didn't have an...
I would assume the 10R would be more reliable than MT88. People may complain about 10R shift issues. I have personally not had any issues. It is a robust transmission that Ford puts in everything RWD.
MT88 is newer and not found in any other Ford product at the moment. I am aware that MT88 is...
Ah yes. The glorious few years where Ford offered very good manual transmissions on non-performance versions of the Fiesta, Focus, and Fusion. We took that for granted.
All of this offroad stuff is to fill niches and conquest other OEMs. So far, 60% of Bronco Sport sales have been conquests. The Explorer Timberline is trying to do the same thing. They want to peel away Jeep and Subaru buyers while having Ford households buy a second offroad focused Ford...
