It isn't a myth. Ford would have every right to cancel your powertrain warranty if you brought the car in with a JB4 connected. Yes, it's dependent on how cool your service manager is but not something any owner wants to gamble with. That's just f*cking stupid.
A heat gun solves the bad fitment in about 10 minutes. This is Ford's version, I didn't realize it was without that small deflector lip. With that said, it seems to be made of a self-healing plastic that dampens the impact enough to deflect and slow down rocks.
I used 3M PPF underneath to...
Personally I'd unplug the JB4 completely and see where you're at. I know it "fools" the ECU so perhaps this is why it's reading low. It's not an actual boost number but the fictitious one fed to the ECU by the JB4.
Won't be driving today but I'll check my numbers and report back. I'm at about 700-900ft. elevation. Not sure I have anything to get a DA reading unfortunately.
Pretty sure the stock boost level is around 18psi max but that'll depend on atmospheric conditions. A Ranger Raptor pushing 20psi blew apart its charge pipe. Linky: Boom!
I've not heard of that happening on the BRaptor but it'd be interesting to hear from some of the others who are pushing...
Ran over to Bass Pro last night to pick up a few hundred Bergers along with some StaBall and ran into a Stroppe on the way in. Grabbed a quick photo on the way out as the light was fading. One of us was topless!
We obviously won't know until yours arrives and it's installed but I'd imagine there would be a way to simply space an existing skid plate out a bit and maybe sandwich high density closed cell foam rubber in between.
I was looking at a Rivian for the wife but they're in deep financial trouble which sucks as I'd take them over a Tesla any day (if you had to buy electric). Plus competition is good for pricing.
The Jeep community will need to find one sacrificial lamb to crash their car while reading one of those messages. Low speed of course, just enough to trigger an "oh my neck!" and then promptly sue Stellantis for damages. Should put an end to that practice.
The load rating is an industry standard governed by the NHTSA. It's more than tread depth. I mean the K03 is really a K02 with a new tread pattern and "rubber" compound, maybe some mods to the internal belt system. So I suspect it'll be identical to the K02 in terms of weight loss between the...
Yes, one made with the same load rating as the current Raptor-specific K02. It'll be the same thing in terms of differences between the two tires. You'll have your normal K03 (which is out now) and this spring, the C load rating tire will be released and it's lighter than the standard K03...
I do the same with Rotopax 4-gallon tanks and have the JCR rack with side racks (similar to Trailrax). I use an electric pump but the main hose isn't long enough to get both sides without removing the container. So the passenger's side has to come off before I can spend another 10 minutes...
Dude. I'm filling up almost every other day during my long commute weeks. I have high hopes this tank works out!
I watched the installation video and it actually looks straightforward but it did look like they were using an aftermarket exhaust system there towards the end?
My big...
