Recall 26S55: 2021-2026 Bronco - Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Repair [July 23, 2026] -- 590,000k units affected

My receipt from the dealership with the just completed work shows parts needed for the harness as 4 zip ties....nothing about parts for wrapping the harness.

See on Ford website parts are now available=just waiting on my letter as when I call to schedule recall appts. service people are not aware of recalls. Anyone had this recall taken care of + what does it entail [do they just wrap some wire loom around it,replace a section of wire + any time estimate once Tech has it in his bay]?

I had a deal on one that had to be brought in from out of town by my local dealer. After several weeks of no movement and the same nothing updates from the sales guy, I talked to the providing dealer, who said they never agreed to trade the Bronco and would not. When I confronted my sales guy, he said his sales manager was supposed to contact me to break that news. What BS. I ended up buying a different Bronco from a different dealer.

Same thing just happened to me. After texting the sales guy Tuesday AM and getting nothing Tuesday and Wednesday I called Wednesday evening and got a VM and left a message. After getting nothing by Thursday (today) at noon I sent a text and finally got a long reply telling me the other dealership sold the car.

I am getting my deposit back and will not be working with this dealership any longer.

They just dropped the Bronco off back at the house. The only thing I could see was this extra wrap around the wiring harness. I think the other bits they addressed were under the wheel liner.

Picked it up at 9:30 and had it back by 2pm. I was busy cleaning the garage the whole time.

I called one dealer this morning, they asked for my vin and said absolutely there is no recall for your 2024 badlands. I said I see it on the ford website after typing my vin in, they said no, your are wrong sounding angry. I called another and they said yes there is a recall but we have no parts. I decided to call back the same dealer because I forgot to ask when parts are ready. They said of course we have parts ready and scheduled me. Sigh….

Just did the remedy myself; ‘22 BL 2.3L MT.
- Wiring to the L&R mirrors is weakly wrapped and benefited from sheathing for the metal edges.

- Dropped the passenger fender liner & added all the extra convoluted tubing. No need to remove wheel.

- FYI; the only portion of the harness that had been touching the fender liner was the section that the factory had already covered well with wrapped/convoluted tubing.

Would be nice if there would be some way to clear that recall off of your VIN now!!

I’ve got the correct sizes of high-temp convoluted tubing, the tape and the special wire ties. Have already pulled the coolant reservoir and inspected all the wiring beneath it and around the hood hinges which all looks fine.

Could easily do it myself in less time than it would take me to drop off my Bronco, wait for it, and make arrangements to go back to pick it up.

As far as I know, the recall would still be attached to my VIN and I know of no way to convince a dealer to clear it, which makes it problematic when it comes time to sell it or trade it in.

Wonder if dealer would inspect my work and sign off on it?

I wasn’t convinced that it was actually going to happen until I drove off the lot Wednesday.

Gotta give big kudos to my sales guy for bullying mine through the service dept as soon as the fix came out…probably because he was tired of me asking about it.

Made the appointment, went in today for 2 recalls.
infotainment and the harness.
2 hours later ( waited) advisor came out. Infotainment recall done, harness was not. Ummm the parts were not all there, had the wrong hose. Hose? I thought it was all conduit. Anyway, I have to go back. As a retired 45 years in GM parts manager, I have seen more than one wrong or missing part. Inconvenient but I can get over it. I will have them make sure its all there before I go back.

Dropped mine off today(25 BL) for the recall and the Works. Advisor says, "We only have parts for the BRaptor". I say, negative, check the bulliten, the appointment setter looked it up and said it was good to go. Lo and behold, he clicks two links, and gets the green image from the first page here. Three hours later I got the call that it was good to go.
TLDR; make sure your advisor is aware.
