^^ this. You can probably find someone with the standard flares who'd be happy to trade you straight across.Swap out the Squatch flares for a set of Standard flares. They're 2" narrower and will give you exactly the effect you're looking for.

This is definitely one of the options I'm considering.
The flares are easily removable, so pop them off next time you wash it to see how much poke outside the body you actually have without the SAS flares. It’s not a little. Then the solution might be clear.
EDIT: One caveat. I break a flare clip about 25% of the time when I pop the flares off for cleaning, so I bought a bag of replacement clips on Amazon.
