I'm looking for a gloss black Wildtrak grille to swap into my '26 Big Bend and after reading some positive comments on here and other places bought one from RPM Bronco.

The stuff showed up yesterday and upon inspection I thought the letters for the grille looked "odd" so I took them outside to compare to my stock grille. The comparison if you want to call it that was... interesting. pics below.
The letters are so bad in fact that I can't even use the matte black FMC covers I was planning to cover them up with as they aren't the same size, shape, font, etc.

RPM was very fast to reply to me but that is all I can say regarding their customer service.

I told the rep I would consider keeping the order if we could reach an agreement for them to reimburse me some unspecified portion of the purchase cost so I could source acceptable letters from somewhere else on my own but he was unwilling to do so.

The rep initially admitted the quality of the items were of poor quality, stated he wished to agree to an acceptable resolution and proceeded to give me three options:
1. Purchase a set of illuminated letters from RPM at full cost that he said were of better quality.
I don't want illuminated letters and have no desire to spend additional money with a vendor who I just received poor quality items from.

2. Figure it out on my own at my own cost and risk by attempting to remove the letters from my stock grille, despite purchasing a complete grille with letters.
I want to leave my stock grille in factory condition should I need it at a later date, so this option was a non-starter. Not to mention the obvious issue of RPM laying the burden of rectifying the situation entirely on myself despite them admitting the goods are of poor quality.

3. Return the order back to RPM via their shipping portal and paying them additional money for a return label and be refunded the purchase costs minus shipping costs despite the reason for the return being their poor quality items.
This was ultimately the option I chose. I will source an OEM grille from somewhere else and just eat the shipping costs. Live and learn, I suppose. It really is cheaper sometimes if you pay for it lol

The order is back in route to them at this time and I will update this thread later should any further shenanigans take place with RPM Bronco.

TL;DR: Bought a grille from RPM Bronco, the goods are of poor quality. RPM told me I could buy light up ones from them, figure it out on my own or send it back and pay shipping costs.

I just got the small molle panel for the tailgate today. I ordered it over three weeks ago and finally called to check on it. I was then told it was on backorder, which was kind of frustrating that that wasn’t communicated. As it relates to the item it’s pretty lame. The hardware is absolutely garbage light plastic bolt backings and some of the other hardware the screw heads or different sizes. It was pretty cheap so I guess I got what I paid for. The Molly panel itself is fine, but the hardware will need to be redone which is not an issue, but what it came with is pretty much junk.

So I guess I say this will be the last thing I buy from RPM

This is the photo of the product on the RPM website. It's pretty clear that the letters are different.

When I ordered my grille from RPM, I also sourced a set of OEM letters becaue I didn't like the way theirs look. Through a WTB post, I ended up with two sets of letters from forum members. As I was reading your post, I was planning to offer my spare set to you, before reading that you already sent back the grille.

Use B6G to your benefit. Search topics, ask questions. I've gotten great info and much help over the past year by doing so. Might save you some time, money, aggravation on your next project.

You must have missed the part where I stated I purchased from them based off people from here vouching for them? I posted this as a heads up to others so they’ll know what the situation is beforehand.

I was suggesting you could go a little deeper than "reading positive comments" if you were interested in solving problems. Didn't mean to set you off, guy.

In case anyone else didn't look at the pictures before buying. Got it. This will be helpful for them if they use the search feature.

Buddy, I’m not really sure what I’m supposed to do other than search “RPM Bronco” and read the available posts. Also, the pictures aren’t great on their site and are probably purposely that way. They easily could’ve posted up close detailed photos of the lettering or make a notation on the webpage but don’t.
I’m not interested in “solving a problem” I didn’t create and the vendor admitted was crappy work.
I feel like the my post outlines more than just “letters=bad” but if that’s all you took away from it, that’s fine and I couldn’t care less.
