Which begs the question, why would a person purchase a Bronco with the expectation that you will heavily rely on Ford's warranty - any of them?

Sure, if this is to be a commuter vehicle "appliance", choosen aesthetically but otherwise serves you as the equivalent of a Toyo Highlander...but if your getting it to actually wheel, and are going to make the usual desired mods, it seems to me that your already past relying on warranty. Sure if it comes through it is a bonus - and as @MGF points out the quality of dealerships ranges widely. Still...

Most people, if we're being honest, just use their Bronco as a daily driver with the occasional weekend camping, beach, or lake trip. And for those people, something like an extended warranty can be helpful to ensure their daily driver that they rely on to get to work and back is covered.

I think Jeep did some market research awhile ago that ended up leaking out, and they discovered that ≈85% of Jeep Wrangler owners never take their Wrangler off-road. I assume that it's probably roughly the same numbers with the Bronco.

But, ya know, really no different than pickup truck owners that never tow/haul anything. Vehicles are emotional purchases for a lot of people, you buy what you want rather than what you need. Good for those of us who do off-road because it keeps these vehicles financially viable to manufacture.

Well, it seems that anything that the tune would touch would be invalidated, but to your point the rest of your touchscreen/modules/etc would still be protected.

Still, with how easy it is program things with Forscan I'd just pick something up from a junkyard and install myself if a module failed. But thats me. YMMV

I ride my shit hard, like really hard.

my dealer has always picked up my stupidity breaking shit including blowing through my skidplates and exploding a hoss 3.0 rack on a G-out.

just don't want to lose the convenience of being able to let the dealer warranty out $2000 in damage.

I'd bet my life if the truck blows a hole through the block at 36,001 miles, ford would tell you to pound sand.

Ford or Ford Performace are accountable though would be surprized if Ford says its "normal" like they do with so many defects haha.

Good thing Ford makes exceptional V6 and motors in geneneral. I have no apprehension about the FP tune or warranty coverage but If one cant afford a new engine cash better to leave it alone.
