Have you bought them? if not you don't know this for sure. Has anyone bought and received OEM pads and not been required to provide the VIN?The search function on these ford-related parts sites (I think they're all using a similar if not same web package) can be a pretty bad experience. Ford isn't spying on you, though. They're just trying to get you the right set of pads based on vin.
Heard Rock Auto its now 100% AI? I'm not a fan so I'll pass on that one.
When I ordered my aeroskin II, it didn't require a VIN. Not sure if that counts.Has anybody actually bought and received OEM Ford Motorcraft brake pads and not been required to provide the VIN of your Bronco?
It's a simple question? I get that people can find an item and load it into the cart. I did the same thing. I actually purchased the items. It was the day after that I was required to provide the VIN for the purchase to go through!
Based on your screenshot, that vendor might have a policy that requires positive proof (vin) that you're getting the right "safety part". I don't think all parts sites are going to require a vin, that doing so is somehow nefarious, or that all Ford "parts" sites will require it. I haven't seen that before but if it bothers you, use another site. Somebody showed Rock Auto stocks Motorcraft, for instance.Has anybody actually bought and received OEM Ford Motorcraft brake pads and not been required to provide the VIN of your Bronco?

"We're sorry you're having a bad experience. We don't want this to happen, and we can help. Private message us your VIN and-"This is the perfect thread for one of the old Ford Support replies.
You heard wrong - they're a family-owned company and don't use AI. They are hosted on Amazon AWS and don't appear to reach out to any AI hosts for anything. I don't know what they'd even use AI for anyway. However, external sites are definitely referencing Rockauto using the external sites' AI scrubbers to get part numbers and availability info etc. That being said, from the get-go, there's no customer service. Everything is automated using traditional digital tools that have been around since like 2008. NOT AI.Heard Rock Auto its now 100% AI? I'm not a fan so I'll pass on that one.
