How about how did you run the wire on the gate ? Through the vent flap ? or ?
i ran it along with the other wires to the tailgate. I looked into using the grommet that passes the 3rd brake light wiring to the outside, but the connector would not pass through that tight opening. I ran the line, connected things up, tucked it into the tailgate apexing and then ran directly up to the third brake light on the surface. I have a tailgate table and it hides behind that.

To avoid feeling stupid while sometimes having to look around each of my wheels 2 or 3 times for the valve stem, I've added some, "right here, ya dumb s#!t" indicators using nail polish.

I also split more kindling to add to the stacks of firewood I have in the garage.
Ready for fire ring and campsite fires now that it is summer camping season!
.....oh, and it's red flag warning, and burn ban, and tinderbox seasons as well. sigh...

Here's an option that's a bit more blingy than nail polish:

I ran mine similar, but it was through the grommet.
I opened up the brake light mount and fed it through there, then drilled a small hole and siliconed it.

Nice. I had thought about the grommet way, too. I like what you did and may consider that in the future. Definitely a cleaner look/install

Yeah, I muddled over it for a few days and ultimately wanted the most hidden looking set up possible.
My father in law wanted to help (hes got a bronco and was wanting a wolfbox) and he just wasn't too keen on my idea; but all said and done, he said I'll have to help him install it that way, as its very clean.

Work in progress, got Bilstein 8112’s installed in the rear, still need to do front next week or so.

Today, had Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T and Method 709 HD mounted. Pics don’t show final final as I was still mounting the impact rings but overall very happy!

Any more pics? Thinking of doing the same with the 709’s. Tired of the black.

I thought about something like these, but too many have been stolen off my bikes and Jeep in the past.
Thanks for the suggestion, though!

I'm interested in doing something similar - do you have pics of what it looks like installed in the brake light mount?
